25.01.2022 Our Reception/Year 1 Children have been learning about famous 20th Century Swiss-German artist, Paul Klee. Paul Klee's work was influenced by Expressionism, Cubism, and Surrealism and he made over 10,000 paintings, drawings, and etchings in his lifetime. He loved experimenting, exploring and using colour to express how he felt or to tell a story through his paintings. Paul Klee also loved his pet cat and bird.... I wonder if you can see what captured the hearts of some of our Reception/Year 1 Children about artist Paul Klee? #RaisingHeartsAndMinds #ignitewondergrow

23.01.2022 We want your help to shape South Australia’s new Road Safety Strategy to 2031. Everyone is a road user, whether you drive, ride, are a pedestrian or a passenge...r, so it’s important to have your say about keeping you and your community safe on the road. The new strategy is being developed to improve road safety for everyone living in, and visiting, our state. Community consultation is now open. Have your say at: www.yoursay.sa.gov.au/sa-road-safety-strategy Survey closes Monday, 2 November.

21.01.2022 Some exciting progress with the building project over the school holidays with the completion of the Resource Centre and the installation of the new bike racks. At Our Lady of Grace School, we have a significant amount of Students who ride to and from school. Through a shared grant process with DPTI we were able to work with our project builders, Horizon Construction Services, to install the new bike racks ready for Term 4. Also ready for Term 4, our Resource Centre. The bo...oks are now ready to be returned to their new home with the arrival of the new furniture from Resource Furniture over the holidays. The furniture has been chosen to allow children from Reception to Year 6 to access books from all shelves and to allow light to flow through the space with the use of low level shelving and furniture. There are nooks created to evoke reading with the use of curves and soft seating and shared learning spaces to encourage Students to collaborate and enquire. A new community kitchen has also been included within the Resource Centre, café style windows open on to the beautiful new deck which is just waiting for a few final touches. We can't wait for our Students to use their new space for their learning over the coming weeks. #RasingHeartsAndMinds #IgniteWonderGrow #HorizonConstructionServices #ResourceCommercialFurniture

19.01.2022 We are very proud of the development and evolution of our school grounds over the past 18 months. New and innovative learning spaces for our Reception to Year 6 Students to Ignite, Wonder and Grow. We're well into the swing of 2021 now, welcome to Week 3!

19.01.2022 Last week our OLOG Students celebrated CBCA Book Week by focusing on the importance of literacy in the education of all children. This years theme was 'Curious Creatures, Wild Minds'. Our Students shared reading everyday in their classes and participated in a book swap, collecting donations for Indigenous Literacy through the trading and exchanging of books within our community. As part of Book Week, Students have the opportunity to dress up as their favorite book character ...and participate in a parade to share their love of reading. We certainly had some 'Curious Creatures and Wild Minds' this year, including a rowdy bunch of King's from 'Where the wild things are'. #RaisingHeartsAndMinds #IgniteWonderGrow

17.01.2022 Following this morning's announcement from the Premier and SA Health, we are delighted to welcome our Students back to school on Monday 23rd November.

06.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful community of volunteers for organising and planting a beautiful range of plants to the new deck planter beds this past weekend. We are looking forward to watching the garden grow with our students over the coming years. #RaisingHeartsAndMinds #IgniteWonderGrow

04.01.2022 This Term for our Social Justice Initiative our Students are coordinating a can drive for St Vincent de Paul. With many families struggling due to Covid-19 and Christmas fast approaching, St Vincent de Paul needs our help more than ever to support their outreach service. Our OLOG Students and the community have already been very generous towards this initiative, with a further 2 weeks remaining to collect. If you would like to get involved and get behind the can drive for S...t Vincent de Paul, please send canned food to school with your children to place in their class collection box. Alternatively, canned donations can be dropped into the OLOG Front Office. #RaisingHeartsAndMinds #ignitewondergrow
