Work to remove a large tyre stockpile at Numurkah - an estimated 500,000 tyres that posed an unacceptable fire risk to the local... community - is nearing completion. Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change Lily D'Ambrosio and EPA CEO Cathy Wilkinson visited the site yesterday with Mayor Libro Mustica thanking them for their continued support and dedication to this project. Cr Mustica also thanked the local community for their patience and understanding while the clean up occurred.
