09.01.2022 OLPS wish our Year 6 leaving families all the best for their next stage of High School. It is wonderful to hear from a family about their time at our school. "Thank you for our 10 wonderful years at OLPS. It has been a great home for our daughters and for our family. We have made lifelong friends as part of the community of OLPS school and our parish. We have had the benefit of some exceptional teachers for our girls, who have made significant impacts on their view of lea...rning, themselves and the world. We appreciate the many sporting, creative, cultural and extracurricular activities offered to our children, especially for recognising our daughter’s interest in coding and giving her the opportunity to explore this and excel. I enjoyed the privilege of working on behalf of our parent body as the representative to the Broken Bay Catholic School Parents team. OLPS has a wonderful relationship with parents and partner with parents to provide opportunities for our students. I deeply value Catholic education and appreciate your efforts in ensuring that it remained within the means of many more Catholic families. After 10 wonderful years, we are proud to say: With love we grew. Thank you. - R & J Pereira #withlovewegrow #congratuationsyear6

04.01.2022 For Today's Wednesday Where Are They Now, we are chatting with Janette O'Brien (Quinn). It is wonderful to read about our student's memories and their strong connection with our beautiful school. Janette has kindly shared this cute photo from the Kindy/Year 1 ball in 1972. The big day! The first day of Kindergarten is a big event in your child’s life and that of your entire family. To help you make the most of the day and enjoy the experience, here are some helpful tips. ... The night before: Get your uniform ready - Lay out your child’s clothes, shoes and socks. Make your child’s morning tea, fruit break and lunch and put it in the fridge. Help your child pack their school bag. Pack a spare pair of underpants, socks and a change of clothes. Let your child know these are there in case they have any toilet accidents at school. On the day: Be confident with your child and let them dress themselves as much as possible. Tie back or plait long hair. Apply sunscreen and get your child to wear their hat on the way to school. Don’t forget to take photos. Pick your child up on time. #withlovewegrow #kindy2021
