13.01.2022 We would like to congratulate the Class of 2020 on achieving outstanding VCE results, the best for many years at OLSH College Bentleigh. This is indeed remarkable given the challenges the girls were faced with during 2020 and their results prove just how courageous, resourceful, and resilient they all are. We congratulate Grace Bowles who is the Dux of the College with a score of 98.9, closely followed by Hannah Dingli 98.35 and Brooke Pereira with 98.3. A total of 16 girls... received an ATAR score over 90, more than double in previous years and 48% of students received an ATAR score above 80. Special mention must be made of Brooke Pereira, who received a perfect score of 50 for Health and Human Development, a wonderful achievement. We thank our dedicated teachers and support staff who embraced online learning to help the girls to achieve their academic best. We thank our parents for allowing us to support and nurture their daughters through their secondary school years. We are just so proud of you all girls and we look forward to welcoming you back to the College as valued members of our Alumnae soon. See more

11.01.2022 Congratulations to OLSH College Bentleigh senior student Olivia Jonasz who has been shortlisted in the prestigious Top Arts competition. "Top Arts 2020 celebrates the exceptional and thought-provoking work of VCE Art and VCE Studio Arts students. Drawn from a range of media, topics, schools, and students, Top Arts 2020 is part of the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority's annual showcasing of excellence." Olivia explained her inspiration, "For my project, I explored ...the reality of sleep paralysis and how an individual looks when under this alternate state (still mannequin) versus how they feel on the inside (cradled). I chose this theme, as my sister, experiences sleep paralysis, and this has greatly affected her sleep. I used 0.2 and 0.3 fineliner to draw the portrait of my sister's face on cotton pillowcases, and casted mannequins with plaster, to uphold the appearance of a body. As you can see, it is creative and powerful work, well done Olivia. See more

06.01.2022 Some very ambitious projects were undertaken by OLSH College Bentleigh VCAL students during remote learning, including renovating a cubby house, changing a pantry to be environmentally friendly, landscaping, reorganising a home gym, and building a skate ramp. There were four phases including the planning, development, implementation, and then the reflection. They had to do a risk assessment and also outline the employability skills involved.
