07.01.2022 The Transition class has enjoyed celebrating NAIDOC week with a number of activities including making rainbow serpents, creating colourful wall displays and rock wall style paintings and learning about the history of the Aboriginal flag. The class discussed the different components of the flag, the importance of the colours chosen and then they translated the meanings into Murrinhpatha. Kardu Thipmam - classification for people and the colour black. Together they mean black person/black fella. Ngunga - sun Putek - earth, dirt, land.
