White was considered the colour which deterred evil spirits. In this day and age white is acceptable for all brides. We can all do without evil spirits. 05.01.2022 Did you know the certicicate you receive on your wedding day is a ceremonial certificate and if you wish to have a certificated copy it has to be purchased from the Registrar General's Office for a fee.
