22.01.2022 *** MOUTH GUARDS FOR MUAY THAI / SPARRING *** If you're enjoying your Muay Thai and you're planning to join in our sparring sessions (or you're in an intermediate level of class/grading) then it is a non negotiable for you to have a mouth guard for all sparring sessions. No exceptions! We have inexpensive boil and bite mouth guards available for purchase in the club for $18, HOWEVER boil and bite mouth guards are really only a "break in case of emergency/temporary typ...e solution eg. You are trying light sparring for the first time to make sure you enjoy it and will continue, or you forgot your dental mouth guard that day etc. If you're keen to get into sparring (even if it is light sparring) - you should be investing in a proper DENTAL MOUTH GUARD. These are made at the dentist, by a dentist and are FAR more protective for your teeth than cheap boil and bite mouth guards. Our Olympia trainers would absolutely not spar properly without a proper custom dental mouth guard to put it in perspective! We have a wonderful relationship with the team at @bitedentalau which is located here in the CBD and they have arranged the following discount for our members only: DENTAL MOUTH GUARDS: Only $200 (usually $260) If you have a higher level of health insurance, then your insurer may cover the cost of this. If you'd like to check the item code with your health insurance it is code 151. The Bite Dental team can make them in any colour or colour combo that you like - Just let the team know what you want and they'll arrange it for you!
