06.01.2022 Im a big fan of Norbak, and what's more I've begun noticing a lot of my favourite artists are also interested in referencing the classics, including Dino Sabatini + Donato Dozzy's Penelope and Telemacus. If you haven't read Gilgamesh yet, do. When I learnt, a few years ago that it, along with The Illiad and The Odyssey these are some of our earliest recorded fables it blew my mind. What's more we are still enthralled by an Epic Tale, A Heroes Journey, and I can't help but wonder whether all artists identify with these tails as a way of symbolising the creative process - the depths of the unknown explored each day creating something from nothing the moment those amps fire up.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUGJQSiOPWM
