12.01.2022 Today marks our 6th Anniversary of Olympus Feeds Australasia, and what a wild ride it’s been!! When Toby and I started Olympus Feeds, we wanted to produce an Australian grown grain and legume range of feeds that were of the highest quality. It was important to have a set recipe, only Australian raw ingredients, a team of equine nutritionists to best formulate our feeds, excellent quality controls and traceability, sound morals and ethics to support our business and all at a ...good price. Turns out that was the easy part! We look back now and realise we may have been a little wet behind the ears! Whilst we knew we had a ripper product, we threw a truckload of money at it and still made some ordinary choices along the way, put trust in the wrong people and took on what felt like an endless and steep learning curve. Throw one of the worst droughts in history at it, some of the dearest fuel and freight charges seen in recent times and a global pandemic just for good measure, and let’s just say some days have been tougher than others. We weren’t afraid of the long hours, the hard work, nor the road blocks, frustrations and anything in between. We constantly reminded ourselves that tough times don’t last, tough people do and with dedication and commitment life is rewarded by some sweet satisfactions. We are thankful for our family, our friends, customers and loyal supporters of our company. To our clients, we are grateful for you, you have all made a huge impact in our lives and we are forever thankful. I’m in awe of the team behind us, the community of farmers, suppliers and business makers that assist our range of feeds, we couldn’t be more proud of you all. Thank you. Also, hats off to fellow business owners, particularly those in the Ag sector. It’s a tough gig most times that often relies on Mother Nature and we all know she is an absolute Goddess and a nasty big bitch all rolled into one, but would we have it any other way? Not in this lifetime. We love what we do and we have some really exciting developments within Olympus Feeds that we will share with you all over the coming months. Cheers to the many anniversaries ahead!
