Floods that ripped our hearts out, unprecedented and devastating fires that wiped out our homes, businesses and whole communities, along with the native animals, pets, horses and massive stock losses, the regeneration from these disasters seem an almost unsurmountable task. A bloody drought that feels like it will never end as we continuously pray for rain to fill the empty tanks, dams and... green our pastures. Our farmers, the backbone of our great country have done it tougher than ever before. It’s a time to also feel proud and incredibly thankful to be an Aussie, we give from the heart. We give our time, money, hay, feed supplies, food, gifts, and so many donations, we literally give the shirt off our back to help a mate in need. Because that’s the Australian Spirit and the Magic of the Bush. That’s what makes us Aussies. Happy Australia Day Mate.

16.01.2022 Today marks our 6th Anniversary of Olympus Feeds Australasia, and what a wild ride it’s been!! When Toby and I started Olympus Feeds, we wanted to produce an Australian grown grain and legume range of feeds that were of the highest quality. It was important to have a set recipe, only Australian raw ingredients, a team of equine nutritionists to best formulate our feeds, excellent quality controls and traceability, sound morals and ethics to support our business and all at a ...good price. Turns out that was the easy part! We look back now and realise we may have been a little wet behind the ears! Whilst we knew we had a ripper product, we threw a truckload of money at it and still made some ordinary choices along the way, put trust in the wrong people and took on what felt like an endless and steep learning curve. Throw one of the worst droughts in history at it, some of the dearest fuel and freight charges seen in recent times and a global pandemic just for good measure, and let’s just say some days have been tougher than others. We weren’t afraid of the long hours, the hard work, nor the road blocks, frustrations and anything in between. We constantly reminded ourselves that tough times don’t last, tough people do and with dedication and commitment life is rewarded by some sweet satisfactions. We are thankful for our family, our friends, customers and loyal supporters of our company. To our clients, we are grateful for you, you have all made a huge impact in our lives and we are forever thankful. I’m in awe of the team behind us, the community of farmers, suppliers and business makers that assist our range of feeds, we couldn’t be more proud of you all. Thank you. Also, hats off to fellow business owners, particularly those in the Ag sector. It’s a tough gig most times that often relies on Mother Nature and we all know she is an absolute Goddess and a nasty big bitch all rolled into one, but would we have it any other way? Not in this lifetime. We love what we do and we have some really exciting developments within Olympus Feeds that we will share with you all over the coming months. When My partner Toby and I started Olympus Feeds we wanted to provide a cost effective, consistently high quality product with expert nutritional backing that you could trust. Something that you could compare and equal the largest companies on the market, We haven’t let you down, but it hasn’t and still isn’t an easy task. Floods and fire wiping out crops, non existent crops due to drought.. ...that bloody drought. Bad managers, fuel hikes, lack of raw material and breakdowns amongst our countless obstacles, but it’s only just recently that I have discovered the why. It’s because I see you, I feel you and I am you. For the love of the horse. I need to share my sadness with you. A few days ago I lost my Harry, the kindest most gentle thoroughbred to grace the earth. He loved and was loved by all who were lucky enough to meet the big bay fella. It was a freak paddock accident that took my Harry away from me and I’m hurting. His injuries so horrific that I felt comforted in helping him cross the rainbow bridge to a pasture of lush grass and endless fields. I have our memories, he would often attempt a visit to the factory, prompted by the sweet smell of molasses and the promise of a cuddle, tho right now my memories don’t seem enough. My friend Kate once said to me, a measure of your love is often reflected by the pain you feel after the loss. My heart is broken. I’m not just a logo, a brand, a company. I’m exactly like you, just a girl that loves her horse. I’m taking a few moments to catch my breath and recover and thank you all for your kind words and messages. Max is a much loved member of the Knights family with Eboni saying the pairs victory in the sort after event was a team effort, thanking her Mum and Dad, along with Kerry Mulgrew and Melissa Dow. ... The 27 strong field shows how much Standardbred Showing has grown, particularly with the successful Hero program, with the show season heavily supported by the world renowned, Alabar Bloodstock.
