I have seen so many businesses perform better online just because they took my advice on how to dedicate time to social media, create ideas, content calendars, blogging for SEO and understanding great ways to distribute their content for maximum online exposure. My first objective is to fire them helping them overcome the fear of judgement from others and press forward. Once you produce conten...t online, your bound for some haters. It’s life. Then the goal is to help these business owners by focusing their efforts, energy and commitment to understanding how important it is to know their customers and targeted audience so well that producing valuable content to them becomes easier and more practical. Know your customers and clients is a foundational component of any successful content driven campaign. Asking questions on how I can create better content next time is so important. As I talk to more clients about content marketing and production, the more I realise that the biggest obstacles to doing is often fear of negative comments and judgments. No marketing can. There is a responsibility on the owners, directors and leadership team to have a business in place that can both meet and exceed their clients expectations, and then at the point help them to market their business on Google etc

15.01.2022 ***Warning, this post from my heart not my brain*** This client has been on around 200-300 visitors per month for over 2 years. So Breaking SEO records in 5 months are awesome. Increasing conversions is also awesome.... But to be honest, knowing the difficult time this particular is having in Melbourne, it does sweeten the whole deal. The client is literally borrowing money for SEO to continue. Sweety palms much!! Once Victoria is out of stage 4 lockdown, this client is in a strong position and we will no doubt see traffic increase further via increased search volumes and new link acquisitions. Also, with our new website on the way to improve CX/UX, it would be such a welcome addition to the business. I dream about this client and we have an amazing relationship (trading parental tips even) as I cannot stop until I see them smashing their bottom line post lockdown. I give everything I possibly have to all of my clients and their overall success as people, entrepreneurs, leaders etc sets my passion on fire. These results are not because I am the greatest SEO/digital marketing in Australia, it is simply because that I care beyond the norm and willing to go beyond the core of duty to do what it takes.

Most industries are super competitive and many business owners and marketing executives understand the importance of SEO therefore, investing more and more money into the medium. Agencies and solopreneurs end up losing clients from a lack of setting the wrong expectations or the lack thereof altogether and due to budget restrictions, sought... more sketchy corner cutting practices that bend the rules risking the clients website reputation on Google resulting in potential bans penalties. 13.01.2022 This SEO client started with us in January 2020 and by the time covid-19 hit, this client was on the verge of closing his doors and the second lockdown in Melbourne nearly did that. We had to halve the SEO budget immediately or risk losing the client. So what did I do to turn the massive traffic slump in April around? 1. Focus on quality (not quantity) content. What would a fellow Melbournian search for while in lockdown? They could not come into the studio to purchase an e...ngagement ring, but they were asking questions about engagement rings, jewellery remodelling and more. 2. Target specific industry links that were respected thought leaders and associations. Limited budget for links, but I had to go for high-end quality even if I lose money in one or two months. It's required. 3. Fix up as many technical issues possible amid a new website redesign. I had to improve our very low CTR for existing rankings. Create better descriptions and titles to improve clicks from Google from best-performing pages. We're shy of 1000 visitors compared to April 193 with a limited SEO budget (1/4 the original budget in the SEO proposal) and tackling the very competitive jewellery space. Builders? Perhaps a little less content on how awesome your bathrooms are and perhaps stories of how you have helped your customers turn their dreams into a reality? Perhaps a tradie podcast to discuss the common challenges and issues within the construction industry? Any business can find new ways to attract customers long term while providing value and demonstrating expertise in exchange for attention & engagement.

10.01.2022 I was speaking with a potential client yesterday, reminding him that digital marketing is content marketing. Content marketing looks different depending upon the industry, platform, media type, target audience etc it is being created on but that only validates my point further. I remember a debate I had with a former colleague over the impact of content marketing over the next decade (2009 discussion) and the topic was more or less, "If there is one single most important SEO... factor, what would it be? Content or links?" The entire internet revolves around content. The very reason why links even existed in the first place was to link to relevant content. Connecting and engaging with your target market via content marketing across various platforms is the single most important digital strategy any business, brand or company could implement. Unfortunately, some of them tell me SOME of my competitors have been rude to them and do not want a bar of them as they have nothing to offer their company. I get it, its a time exhaustive effort to speak with everyone "who applies" to your company that does not fit the requirements. The reason I always t...ry my best to give my time & advice is simple, no one gave it to me when I started. I wish SEEK.COM kept my application records in 2006 where I applied for literally over 750 jobs in 3-6 months. I didnt get anywhere and recruiters sent me on these wild goose chases that never mounted to anything close to getting hired. I never forget how hard it was to crack through over 13 years ago. Never forget where you started and do your best to give someone a chance. They may even rise to the senior-level position after 2 years ;) #mystory

Do they trust those referrals made from locals they did not know over a Google search? While I have over 540 members, 24 clearly (in quick succession) voted for referrals. This also reiterates what I advise local businesses who are interested in SEO. I always explain SEO works great locally but Facebook groups, channels, ads, etc should be your primary focus. Create and optimise your Google My Business pages, create posts, ensure we have created citations verifying your address like Hotfrog and the Yellowpages, create blog content (of course) but emphasise social media (Instagram & Facebook) and run ads around how your products and services provide value and impact our lives in a positive way.
