06.01.2022 Good news! The cost of a recreational fishing licence won't go up for the 2020/21 financial year, as part of the State Government’s decision to freeze fees, cha...rges and levies to reduce the financial burden on families during the coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. Every cent of the $8.5 million collected through fishing fees allocated to projects that make your fishing even better: fish stocking, access and facilities, fisheries research, extra Fisheries Officers and Fishcare Victoria Inc. On top of these improvements, another $35 million from the State Government is funding phase two of Target One Million to get more people fishing, more often, in more places. To learn more about how your fishing licence fees are put to work visit www.vfa.vic.gov.au/feesatwork
