24.01.2022 A good day for golf & a good turn up of members.

23.01.2022 All OGC Members a reminder! Our AGM will be held on Dec 9th at 7 pm. Following Twilight Golf. Come along & have your say. Our club is going great, despite the crazy year 2020 has been. Hope to see you there!

19.01.2022 Our Club House has had a spruce up recently. Working bee today got the safety rails back in place, now we need to be able to hold our Annual Tournament. It had to be cancelled at the last minute in 2020, fingers crossed for this year. 26th,27th & 28th of March.

17.01.2022 The Gap Challenge event was competed for on Saturday, 18 holes at Tambo. Top score of the day went to Ken Worcester with 42 points. & Sunday at Omeo the top score went to Chris Faithfull, 43 points. There were some very good scores recorded by both teams, but Omeo came out the winner for the 6th year in a row. 2021 was our 10th year of holding this great event. Now we get ready for our Annual Tournament, March 26th, 27th & 28th. Hope you can be there.

16.01.2022 Well Golf is Back! Now we just want the winter weather to cooperate for two days a week. Thursday so we can try to get Ladies day going again & Sunday Comp. day for all. Just great to be able golf again, no matter how badly.

16.01.2022 After two rounds of the Men’s championships we have equal leaders in A Grade, Ben Jobling & Ross Ansaldi with others pretty close too. B Grade leader is Sam Heesom & C Grade leader is Peter Thomas. Sam & Peter both broke their handicaps yesterday.

14.01.2022 Some action on the same day.

14.01.2022 Sunday the 15th is the first round of the Men’s Championships. Start time 1pm. Hope you can make it & Good Luck.

13.01.2022 Very keen to get all these people back playing golf! We need the exercise. We had to cancel this years Tournament but we will be back in March next year, see you then.

12.01.2022 Looking good for our Annual Tournament starting tomorrow. Hope you are planning on joining us.

11.01.2022 These were some of our Raffle prizes for last weekends Tournament we had to cancel. Now to try & keep them alive till things get back to normal.

09.01.2022 It was a lovely morning to have a walk. Having made representations earlier this week, the good news is kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding and rowing are now a...llowed while all social distancing rules and gathering numbers must be observed. My video this morning mentions windsurfing after I received a verbal that it was ok, but the latest advice (as of this afternoon) is windsurfing and kite surfing are being (re)considered as they fall into the non human powered category, so best to hold off on them for now until clarified. Although all the information has not changed on line, it will, and I have direct email confirmation from the Chief Health Officer, Brett Sutton, that these activities (kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding and rowing) are OK. I have also made approaches to the Victorian Fishing Authority and Government for land based fishing, golf and other activities to be reviewed as they are allowed in every other state and territory under travel and other restrictions. Have a great day and don’t forget to check on those who may need some help.

06.01.2022 Daylight Saving starts on October 4th, that means the start of our twilight golf season. Wednesday from 4pm & Sunday from 1pm. The course is looking fantastic, our volunteers have done a marvellous job as usual. 2020 has been a lost year with so much golf cancelled, & having to cancel the Caravan & RV Muster as well. So now we need you down there playing golf, while we can.

06.01.2022 Note! Change of time for Sunday Comps. We will now be starting from 11am while the cold weather continues.

05.01.2022 Our Annual Tournament starts Friday 26th March. Ladies Day, the Lorna Ansaldi Challenge Bowl & President’s Day. 18 Holes Stableford. Saturday is the Polly Foster Charity Day. Ambrose Pairs Stroke. Including novelty challenges. Sunday is for the Men. 18 Holes Stableford. A & B grades. Plenty of food & refreshments available.

05.01.2022 COVID-19! No Competitions while the 6 week Stage 3 restrictions are on, and if it goes longer, well so be it. We have to all work together & abide by the rules to beat this horrible Virus. Omeo Golf Club Members can still play golf BUT MUST FOLLOW the latest rules on display at the Club. We are into the last month of winter, the days are slowly getting longer, we’re ready for Spring!

02.01.2022 I WOULD LOVE A GAME OF GOLF!

02.01.2022 Another beautiful day in the High Country! Thursday 4th June, Ladies Day.
