11.01.2022 WORLD CHILDREN'S DAY November 20th is commemorated the World Children's Day, the date on which the UN approved the Declaration of the Rights of the Child in 1...959, and 1989 the "Convention on the Rights of the Child-CRC. OMEP was part of the drafting committee of the CRC, which establishes the human rights of all boys and girls: to life, health, education, play, family, protection against violence and discrimination, and participation, among others. States and societies play a key role in the well-being of children. From OMEP we urge those who work with early childhood to demand that States comply with their commitments, especially in this context of the COVID-19 pandemic, It is essential to ensure the necessary financing to actively protect the right to education and care of children from birth. This World Day calls us to defend, promote and celebrate human rights through actions that ensure the best interests of the child and help create a better world for everyone. See more
