22.01.2022 I love my TIG welder.

22.01.2022 Modification to a landscaper's trailer, a section to load wheelie bins with another small section for tools, all aluminium. Plus a replacement galvanised tailgate.

12.01.2022 Just working on a little tinny... 50 Tonne tinny!

09.01.2022 Built for strength, holding 2.7 tonnes of glass, substrate and water. Mitred corners and finished off with 2k gloss white.

09.01.2022 Not bad for a rush job. Matches contour of head board on tray.

07.01.2022 Here it is! This 1970's Airstream went through hurricane Katrina which left it fully rusted, cracked and in need of a complete new chassis. Based on the original, I matched all the overall dimensions, angles, profiles and spacing. The main chassis rails are a whopping 8.5m long and beefed up to 150X50 RHS, which I made 30mm higher in the rear to allow for the weight of the shell (pushes it perfectly flat) and fitted steel rollers inside the rails for when it bottoms out. Inde...pendent torsion suspension with manual override, I ran the brake cable through tube I curved, popping it out just in front of the lever on the wheel hub. Mounts for original folding step all done with hand tools and original spring mechanism refurbished. The only thing different from the original is the drawbar; that old coupling had to go and be replaced with a heavy duty 70mm type, which changed the angle and where it sat on the front rail. This build was a real pleasure to fabricate. THere is so much more to list but you get the idea! I will post a couple of pics once the big shiny shell goes back on. See more

05.01.2022 One-of-a-kind aluminium enclosure. All three sides open on gas struts, stainless piano hinges and stainless t-locks. Having the rear door open up without squaring it off at 90 degrees proved to be a little difficult... but without a millimetre to spare, the struts sit snug and work perfectly. Low profile flood lights mounted in the rear door turned out very tidy using flat bar rather than bulky tube. Fully sheeted on top, bottom and front/head board. Using a smaller profile grille than the usual run-of-the-mill 'security screen' grille gives it a really tidy finish. Everything was within a 2mm tolerance.

05.01.2022 More photos will be coming of this 9 metre long beast! It's a whole new chassis for a 70's American Airstream caravan. A lot of work has gone into this, future photos will show a whole lot more intricacy and precision. All within a 2mm tolerance... stay tuned!
