20.01.2022 Hello to all our patients and referrers. Our practice is still waiting for the relaxation of the restrictions to elective surgery in response to Covid 19. The Mater hospitals in Qld are still only allowing cases on a case by case basis and is complying with the 25% workload rule, and have not reopened the usual regular lists. The Mater hospitals Queensland are following the guidelines from Qld Health and the Qld government. We will be in contact with you as soon as we know when we can recommence elective surgery. Thanks for your patience in this difficult time.

19.01.2022 Hello everyone. We are keenly watching the Australian Governments discussion about whether or not to reopen elective surgery in a staged fashion due to Covid 19 new cases declining. For those patients of our practice who have been affected by the elective surgery shut down, we will keep you informed about when elective surgery will recommence for Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. Please note, the government may allow other speicalties to recommence first, as Oral and Max...illofacial surgery is a high risk surgical specialty as it is surgery in the mouth often. Once we are permitted to recommence, we will contact patients and get them reappointed for their surgeries. In the meantime, we will continue to utilise Telehealth conferencing for consultations. Ring Emmily on 0421144953 if you have any questions. Please stay safe everyone. See more

09.01.2022 We have recently been getting fantastic results with bone grafting and reconstruction using a reasonably new technology, which uses the patients own blood to make bone graft material and membranes (to seal the bone graft in). This makes Dr Dances job much easier and improves the success rates of these procedures greatly. We have been using this technology with dental implant cases, and has been really useful for patients with osteonecrosis due to being on medications such as Bisphosphonates or radiation therapy. I love it when new technology really helps
