08.01.2022 Ever wanted to get inside the mind of your autistic child? Corowa RSL will host Life on the Spectrum later this month, an event that aims to educate the community on what it’s like growing up with ASD and explore how you can better support your child by better understanding life through their perspective. Life on the Spectrum presenters Dougal Austin and Jeremy Samson will both share their experiences of growing up on the spectrum and invite attendees to join in on the conv...ersation around real life experiences relating to your family’s personal ASD journey. As a community club and not-for-profit organization, it seemed this was a great opportunity to give back to those in our area who may be struggling to navigate their way with Autism, whether it be them personally or members of their family. We are very proud to be able to deliver this event free of charge to our local community. Corowa RSL CEO, Peter Norris said. Life on the Spectrum will run on Tuesday October 22, from 7.30-9.30pm at the Corowa RSL Club.

After 5 years of radio, which they still do on the 4th Sunday of each month, Jeremy and Dougal have now morphed their show into a live panel discussion with industry specialists to travel around Victoria & Australia (mainly regional locations) to venues and keep educating the wider communities about ASD. The show gives regional communities the chance to come along to listen , learn & be able to ask ...their own questions to the panel. As Jeremy says We created the show to help create further awareness about the every day challenges that families and individuals are going through on the Autism Spectrum. The Panelists are there to deliver their professional perspectives into each of the topics discussed as well as help assist with answering questions asked by the audience.
