24.01.2022 Be direct. Say what you mean and mean what you say. You should always be able to talk freely. If you have issues with someone it's better to address those issues and avoid passive-aggressive tactics. It will enable you to move on towards a more positive mindset.



24.01.2022 What do you REALLY want out of life? PAUSE. I am not kidding, I need you to dig deep down right now and ask yourself that question.... For a moment forget about everyone else and focus on YOU right now. Does the life you are living on the outside match what you desire on the inside? If not, then Girl, we need to make some changes now. Really you can Stop going through the motions in life and live with intention. This means you need to start saying NO to the things that are important to you so that you can have room to say yes to what matters MOST to you. The power of intention. Often forgotten and underestimated. Back in 2013, a friend of mine sent me Whatsapp explaining the benefit of living each and every day with intention and at the time, it made sense but I didnt really understand how to go about it. I knew in my heart it would help me immeasurably because at the time, life was go, go,go and it felt like I was always chasing something - everything but what I really wanted. But first, I had to learn how to wake each day with the motivation to focus on something. My first call to action was to start paying attention to my body - I decided to join a gym and workout four times a week with the intention to become healthier and more focussed. I made this a habit, a regular routine and after a few weeks of pushing myself, I never looked back. This becomes a keystone habit - a habit that ultimately opens the door to other positive, feel good habits that break you out of your comfort zone and have you living each day with far more positive intention. Intentions pave the way to the reality you wish to see and you can create anything you put your mind to. I got you. Start Here Intentional living What it is: Examining your WHY and making a different choice if youre not happy with the answers that you find. Why do I do the things I do? Having a purpose behind your actions. What its not: Its not about figuring everything out. It doesnt mean having your whole life figured out. 20.01.2022 IM GOING TO LET YOU IN ON A LITTLE SECRET. I wasnt always in control of my life. In fact, I struggled with the exact issues youre facing. In my early 20s, I felt stuck, and as a result, I spent a large chunk of my life on auto-pilot and became depressed, unhappy and unfulfilled.... I fell into what I can now describe as a Cage (feeling stuck and frustrated because you know what to do, you just don't know HOW), trapped and confused. I could no longer see who I truly was, and who I wanted to be. I knew I needed to change the trajectory of my life, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I was struggling to take the action necessary to change my life. I KEPT ASKING MYSELF, WHO AM I? I began to question everything and started to think, there must be more to me than just these problems I have, I wanted to know the truth so I went on a quest to understand myself. It was when I dug deep that I began a pathway which led me to study Counselling, Psychotherapy and now Coaching. Through my education, I understood who I was and how I work. I rediscovered myself by learning to fully see and accept myself. The good, the bad and the UGLY. KNOWLEDGE IS ONLY POTENTIAL POWER. So, what was it that took me from stuck to full clarity and fulfillment with myself and my purpose? You see, its one thing to know what to do, its another thing to DO IT! I realised that knowledge alone didn't cut it. I needed to change my identity first by taking daily actions to get me to where I wanted to be. What helped me was realising that I had the power to change anything in my life so I began taking INSPIRED action. Actions that were easy for me and FUN! 14.01.2022 Find happiness and your passions series. You come with attributes, ideas and you are moulded in a certain way from your environment. But at some point in life you need to say:... Okay, this is what is original to me and this is how I have been formed but now who do I want to be? You can reduce your emotional distress by deciding to become a person that will no longer be the old you and you can become a calmer person, a less critical person, a less egoistic person, a more productive person, a less self-abusive person, and so on. A great technique is to write post-it notes and stick them on your fridge, mirror etc but don't go for the negative! Write something like: I am now a calmer person, this is the new me and I love the new me! See more

13.01.2022 Therapy can be fun. WHY NOT? Therapy is often viewed as a daunting experience where you talk about how you feel in a stiff, unnatural environment. But it doesnt have to be that way! I struggled with this as a therapist because when I started my journey I felt I needed to present as a therapist (formal clothes, clinical and stiff). It didn't feel natural for me as I wasn't being true to myself. I preferred an open, fun and exciting environment and what I was offerin...g was the opposite. I was afraid to do therapy my way because it wasnt normal but something within me kept pushing me to try it my way so I did. The result? My clients were seeing results quicker than they had in the past. They were able to come into sessions more relaxed and ready to tackle their challenges. What did I do differently? I took an inspired ACTION and it paid off. I started to help my clients on their journey to happiness by incorporating play (music, candles, art) and anything that made them feel their best, whether thats a stroll by the beach, sippin a cup of coffee, a walk and talk in the park with a dog, or over Zoom from the privacy of your own home (and PJs). Now all my sessions are outside the box. I give you the choice of where you want their therapy to begin. You can walk and talk in the fresh air, sit on the beach with sand in your toes or sip coffee at your local. Its completely up to you. Sometimes what youre most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free. Take that step.

Your hobby, passion, or whatever you really enjoy doing might be something that other people dont understand. ... And you know what? Thats completely normal. Just remember, these people that are judging you have the same struggles as you and are judging you because they cannot find their own confidence to just be who they want to be. See more

I know, it can be challenging Trying something new, Breaking a habit, Making a new connections requires you to push yourself in order to improve. ... It wont be easy, but you can make it rewarding and enjoyable. Growth is an activity and every activity requires effort. Efforts means WORK. But the problem is: Youve got to want to do the work and there are many reasons why we avoid the work part. One of them is that the work can be bloody hard. I get it. The truth is if you don't want to do something, you wont do it regardless of what you say. Every one of us has things we say we want to do - but dont. Dont worry, youre not lazy. You simply dont want to do it enough to actually do it. What is it going to take for you to bring yourself to actually want to do the work? First, find out what youre doing instead. For example, you want to start exercising in your spare time but you find yourself binge watching the The handmaid's tale. It's obvious the thing you wanna do more is watch the TV show. Next, Figure out why you want to watch the TV show. What benefit or reward are you getting from watching the TV show. Is it to relieve stress, get inspired or it makes you feel good? Then, figure out how to get the same or a better reward or benefit from the new thing you want to do (Exercise in your spare time). If you want long-term success, you can stop avoiding whats hard by figuring out your own way of doing it. A way that works for you. 07.01.2022 How To Identify The Core Values That Are Holding You Back & Challenge Them. In the next few days, I will focus on helping you to identify your negative core beliefs and begin to work on how to challenge and change them over time. Core beliefs are assumptions we make about ourselves, other people and the world we live in.... We all look at the world differently and tend to mistake our core beliefs as facts. This is why two people can have the same experience and yet a very different interpretation of what occurred. Some core beliefs serve you and some dont so it is important to take the time to dig deeper to identify and question the negative core beliefs that are holding you back. The best way to determine if you have negative core beliefs is to: Notice the theme in your thinking. That is, if you find that you think in an absolute negative way about yourself, others and the world. Focus on the situations that you have a strong emotional reaction to, especially if it seems like an overreaction to the situation. Pay attention to the positive information or evidence that you find difficult to believe. This is because your strong negative core beliefs wont allow you to accept any information or idea that disputes what you believe. Today I have only offered some examples of the CORE (DEFECTIVENESS, UNLOVABLE, ABANDONMENT, HELPLESSNESS/POWERLESSNESS, ENTITLEMENT and SELF-SACRIFICE/RESPONSIBILITY), I will focus on the beliefs associated with each of these individually in my subsequent posts.
