We have been overwhelmed by your understanding and support during what has been a very uncertain time for all of us. By working together to navigate through these tough times we managed to stay open and keep the most amazing staff employed so thank you from the bottom of my heart Although restrictions are easing we have decided for the time being to continue to operate as a TAKE A...WAY ONLY venue. We kindly ask that you continue to practice social distancing and adhere to our maximum capacity limits and the team at Onda will keep providing you with some of the best food and coffee on the coast. We will be donating $1 from every coffee sold next week (6th-12th Jan), along with the contents of our tip jar to the Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery and WIRES (Wildlife Rescue Services). 10.01.2022 Amidst all the craziness going on we almost forgot today was our 4th birthday!!! Thank you to everyone whos supported us over the years, we wouldnt be here without you. Youve helped us create not only a cafe but a source of connection, community and support. We have made some amazing friendships through this venture and these have become incredibly important during this tough time. To the staff and everyone whos helped out over the years, you guys have made the cafe a b...etter place and I continue to learn from you each and every day. Not just in a work setting but in the way you conduct your lives especially during this time. A special shout out to Alana and Josh - you two have been here since day one. Alana people literally drive from Melbourne for your coffee and Josh your scrambled tofu and raw twix bars have people mouthwatering all over the state!! We cannot wait to welcome everyone back to Onda when the time is right. Now, every year we participate in #cafesmart to help raise funds for homelessness - as now more than ever we can appreciate how lucky we are to have a safe roof over our heads. As we were closed last week and missed the official fundraising week, @streetsmartaust have allowed us to kick off our re-opening week by raising funds this week instead. So - from today until Friday (19th-23rd October) you can donate to @streetsmartaust via the QR code on the pos...ters in the cafe or on your coffee cup. There will also be a collections jar at the till for all of your spare change. To do our bit, this Friday the 23rd October @onda.food.house will be donating $1 from every coffee sold to #cafesmart So grab your mates and come on down for the finest @allpressespresso and throw in any spare change you can muster and let’s help our hood together.

06.01.2022 Just a little update... As of tomorrow we are allowed to have bums on seats yes. However, we have decided to remain TAKE AWAY ONLY at least for the school holiday period. To adhere to the current restrictions for dine in we would need to provide full table service (order at table etc), along with ensuring customer groups do not mingle. At this moment in time we simply do not have the staff or resources to do this safely. So we are keeping things simple for the school holiday...s (take away only) and we will reassess our position then. When we revert back to dine in we want to ensure we can do it safely and we want to do it DAMN WELL!!! So, we ask that you be a little patient as we navigate through this period and get ramped up for the crazy summer we have ahead. Thank you for all the support you’ve shown us these past six months whether it be in person or via message/email. We appreciate each and every one of you, we simply would not be here without you

01.01.2022 What a week! Your support for our bushfire fundraising has been overwhelming, resulting in us donating $3340 from coffees sold and an incredible $964.40 in tips from our amazing customers! All up we have raised $4304.40 to be split between @redcrossau and @wireswildliferescue
