Over the years, the Variety Bash has covered over 83,312 km's, raising more than $16 million for children who are sick, disadvantaged or have special needs in Victoria. This annual road event involving outrageously themed cars and crew is not a race or a rally, but an entertaining event where the fun is about getting invol...ved and raising funds to help children with special needs. The Variety Bash is Variety's largest fundraising event with $1.15 million raised in 2011. This year's Bash will kick off on August 23 from Shepparton and will end in Hamilton Island 10 days later. 01.01.2022 Bruce Peddlesden, our Managing Director, had the following to say upon his return from the 2012 Variety Bash. We survived! 4608km over some of Australias roughest and dustiest roads, but it was all worth it to learn that on the 2012 Variety Bash, we had raised over $1.25m for ill and disadvantaged children. From Sheparton in Victoria through Broken Hill, Maree, Mt Isa, Richmond, Charters Towers and finally to Airley Beach, our trusty 1967 HR Holden soldiered on (with only some semi major problems).
