25.01.2022 Today our crews were called to a grass fire which was started by slashing While we are grateful residents are preparing for the fire season, we would like to... ask that residents consider the weather conditions on the day and always be prepared with a readily available water source nearby. 25.01.2022 What a day to be out at AL RU Farm! Ruth & Alan have graciously opened their gardens to the public today and aren't they just spectacular? They have thought of ...everything, with a plant fair for gardening enthusiasts as well as teas & a light lunch kindly prepared by One Tree Hill Uniting Church. The One Tree Hill CFS are lending a hand with traffic control and parking - all proceeds raised at the gate go straight to their station. Don't worry. If you cant get there today, they will be doing it all again tomorrow.

24.01.2022 The Sunday Mail rang me this week to ask if they could do a photo shoot of my horses and donkeys. Here is the result on page 5 today

23.01.2022 READERSHIP SURVEY How are we doing? Is the Grapevine hitting the mark for our local readers? We would love to get your feedback to help improve the magazine. To complete the survey simply click on the following link https://onetreehill.org.au/index.php/grapevine/survey. Submissions will be automatically sent to Progress for collation and analysis. The Grapevine is published monthly (excl. Jan) and is distributed to homes in the One Tree Hill area as well as OTH Post Offi...ce boxes. The cost of production is significant, and we want to ensure that we are spending the money wisely to provide a relevant service to readers and to the businesses that advertise with us. Submissions will be treated as confidential; however, we do ask that you provide your name to help identify spam. We will publish our general findings later in the year. The sort of things that we are interested in, include: does your family read the Grapevine? what you like or dont like about the current magazine? what you would like to see more or less of? if you would prefer to read the Grapevine online (and save us money)? are you using our website or our Facebook pages? Thank you for your time in helping us improve our service to the community.

I will continue to work with fellow elected members to improve the outcomes for Ward 3 and the City of Playford as a whole. Thank you to everyone who made today an enjoyable and productive day. Enjoy the remainder of the weekend! Cr David Kerrison

11.01.2022 So, did SA Water bring a generator up to the OTH Water Pumping Station tonight when power was lost? If you had no water, then I guess not. This is why Progress is pushing the State government to have a permanent back-up generator located at the WPS. If SA Water don’t do it for routine outages they won’t do it during emergencies.

10.01.2022 Update: Last month the footpath pavers at the OTH institute were raised as a tripping hazard and I followed up with a CRS. While a number of items on the CRS ha...ve been addressed and rectified, the pavement as pictured remains. I wish to confirm that the City of Playford have advised that the works will be completed by the end of September. Tomorrow Ill be in One Tree Hill giving an update on another local matter. All the best and regards, David Kerrison

10.01.2022 New Footpath Project for One Tree Hill. Today I met Geoff Jacobson and discussed the delivery of a new footpath in 2020/2021 of approximately 350 meters from Jo...rdan Drive along the Blacktop Road toward the institute. Thank you to Geoff who brought the need of a footpath and upgrade to my attention in the last financial year. This project will greatly improve the connectivity and access of the Jordan Drive residents to the township. Thank you to the City of Playford for delivering this service to the local community as part of the new Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program with funding received from the Australian Government. Looking forward to seeing this service delivered.

09.01.2022 Phone Numbers Changes. In an effort to try and reduce our operating costs so we can do more for the local community, Progress has reviewed our phone and data requirements. The two fixed landlines were only used to divert calls to a mobile phone number, which didn't make a lot of sense and was very expensive. So we have asked Telstra to disconnect our landlines. Likewise, the old Grapevine mobile number hasn't been used for some time as it wasn't needed. The phone numbers published in the Grapevine and on our website are correct and should be used if you need to call one of our volunteers. We apologise for any inconvenience caused for any callers who have the old numbers in their contacts list (or speed-dial for older systems).
