25.01.2022 We are nearly there!! Thanks to all the support from families and friends we have successfully recycled 850 bottles, that is almost 15 kg of plastic! With all your continued support we will smash that target and move onto bigger goals, working to help the community along the way.... FACT: It takes the average water bottle 450 years to decompose. 05.01.2022 What a great start our Home, Lawn and Maintenance crew have gotten off too. Referrals are coming in fast. And the boys are loving some of the challenges. But we would just like to clarify up a few things that have been raised by a few customers with pricing. We would just like to share the breakdown to what the funds are going to and what our aim is for this venture. The breakdown includes: ... - Wages for all members of the crew. This means that both the supervisor as well as the crew member get paid according to the Award rate instead of an ADE rate which is calculated against there Disability. We believe in keeping everything equal no matter what your circumstances. - Maintenance on equipment, we have the top of the range equipment for the safety of our crew but also to provide you all with the best looking lawn in town. - remaining money goes back into what we call an activity fund. This will help for any activities our clients would like to participate in throughout the community as well as outside of the Armidale area which includes trips away. Take note that One Connection Disability Services does not take a profit from this. We are not in it for the money, but yet to provide an avenue for those with disabilities to participate in employment and community participation. We are strong believers in Equal opportunities. To those who have come on board with our services, we thank you for giving us a go
