A few years back we refurbished one of the public exhibition areas at the Melbourne Shrine of Remembrance, which included this beautiful stained glass feature. Originally installed in St Paul’s Church in Euroa in 1903, this unique stained glass window commemorates Private John Charlton, of Castle Creek, Victoria, for his service and sacrifice in the Boer War (1899-1901). Designed and manufacture...d in Melbourne by Brooks, Robinson & Co, in an Art Nouveau style, the Charlton Memorial Window Committee, with support from a Victoria Remembers Grant, restored the stained glass window and donated it to the Shrine in 2016. 19.01.2022 This time a year ago, ONE68 proudly received the @interiorfitoutassociation ASOFIA Victorian Fitout of the Year Award for 2018-2019 for our Ocean 12 Karaoke Bar, Lounge and Terrace @crownmelbourne project. It was a massive undertaking of 28 private karaoke rooms (each alternating between one of 10 unique designs), 5 VIP rooms, private bathrooms, a central bar and lounge, a grand outdoor terrace and bar, a commercial kitchen, and a foyer and reception area. Each space had it’s... own bespoke, custom joinery, lighting, and hard and soft finishes. 09.01.2022 We love digging through the project archives and today being Mother's Day we thought it apt to feature a project that honours what most Mum's can NEVER have enough of...shoes! A little while back we fitted out (in all it's red-soled glory) the Christian Louboutin store at Chadstone Shopping Centre. Sigh!The opening of the store even saw Mr Louboutin himself present to cut the red satin ribbon! This luxurious retail interior required a great level of coordination as the j...oinery was manufactured overseas, therefore our Import Team was in constant discussion with the factory in China to successfully manage the tight timeframe and ensure standards were maintained for this high end brand. ONE68 have also completed the fitout for the Christian Louboutin store within David Jones in the Melbourne CBD and we have another scheduled to complete in DJ's Brisbane. So amongst the gorgeous handmade cards and free form pottery vases, we hope a new pair of shoes (Louboutin or otherwise!) feature in your gift bag this Sunday morning.
