25.01.2022 Getting a new outcome from God will require new processes from you. If you want a relationship to change, you’ll have to behave in a new way. If you want a new ...job, you’ll have to work with new people and do new tasks. If you want to weigh a new weight, you’ll have to eat and exercise in new ways. Getting anything new is going to be hard, because it’s going to require us changing and being renewed mentally. Luke 5:39 And no one after drinking old wine wants the new, for they say, ‘The old is better.’ I pray that today, you’ll be aware of the things that God is renewing in you, so that you can receive your new season from Him.

23.01.2022 Some winners are losers. In your ambition and drive to come first, to win that job contract, or climb the corporate ladder and beat out your competitors, be c...areful that by winning, you don’t lose. You can lose your perspective, about who or what is most important. You can lose your integrity and your reputation. You can lose your health and years off your life. You can lose relationships and your legacy. You can lose your soul. Mark 10:31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first. I pray that today, you’ll honour God by putting Him and His kingdom, first in your world.

22.01.2022 Beware of division. Mark 3:25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.... The house Jesus is talking about here is not the building (your home), but rather the relationships and family that you’re invested in. Today I pray that you will be conscious of divisive talk and thoughts, and work to protect the unity we have in the bonds of love.

21.01.2022 Even the world agrees... Intermittent fasting is trending nowadays. It’s said to have health benefits. For people whose body is their temple, they readily adopt... this advice, and start fasting! Jesus said we should fast too. It has spiritual health benefits. For people whose body is the temple of Holy Spirit, we should readily adopt this advice, and fast too! Luke 5:35 But the time will come when the bridegroom will be taken from them; in those days they will fast. Today I pray that you will go deeper in your prayer life and that fasting will produce great fruit in your life.

20.01.2022 The way up is down. The Kingdom of God has many paradoxes. Humility is one of them. If we humble ourselves, then God lifts us and promotes us. And it’s the same... with success. If you want success in any field of life, in God’s Kingdom the price for success, is service. Mark 10:43-44 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. I pray that today, you’ll discover the joy and freedom that humility and service brings to your life, as you trust God for greater things.

20.01.2022 Persist! Have another go. Even Jesus had to pray for a blind man twice, before he was healed. Imagine if Jesus had thought of himself as a failure, and walked a...way from the blind man after the first go? Whatever you’re doing in faith for God, never give up! Persist, keep at it, go another round. That’s the nature of the children of God, they just never give up. Mark 8:24-25 ...He looked up and said, I see people; they look like trees walking around. Once more Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then his eyes were opened, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly. I pray that today you’ll be strengthened in your faith and continue to push forward into the things you’re hoping for.

19.01.2022 What scriptures are speaking to you? 15 years ago, God spoke to us about starting our church in Perth’s Northern Beaches. Today I can testify that these verses... continue to speak to us, inviting us to go deeper into God’s purposes and revelation. Mark 2:21-22 No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins. I pray that today, God will speak to you afresh, and that His word will come alive in you.

17.01.2022 Believe God. If you’re asking God for anything, you can trust that He has heard you and is in the process of answering you. While you wait, don’t allow doubt to... rob your faith. Don’t think that the delay is permanent. As long as what you have asked for is in line with God’s will, you can be sure the answer is on its way! Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. I pray that today, you’ll be encouraged to keep on asking, to keep on trusting, that God is answering your prayers.

14.01.2022 Nobody likes a hypocrite. All sorts of people lie at different times. We understand that, even though it’s disappointing. But when people lie and don’t own up,... or when they pretend to be someone they’re not, or when they lecture us while they’re guilty of the same stuff, that’s when they lose our respect. Jesus has no respect for hypocrisy, but he does show us how to live courageously and truthfully. Mark 7:6 Jesus replied, Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written: ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. I pray that today, your heart will be closely aligned to God’s heart, and that you’ll speak truth from the heart.

14.01.2022 It’s time to lose the fear of man. Many Christians care more about what others think of them, than what God thinks of them. They care more about their job secur...ity than they care about their eternal security. Why do I say this? Because our culture has arrived at a place where P.C. language is more powerful than truth. And this happened (in large part but not exclusively) because Christians failed to resist the gradual loss of our freedom to speak the truth, publicly. Mark 12:14 They came to him and said, Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren’t swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth... I pray that today you’ll be filled with boldness and wisdom, and speak the truth with love and grace.

13.01.2022 Develop a prayer habit. Habits and routines are the building blocks of our day. Over time, they can become the way our lives are defined. Jesus had a habit of ...getting away, alone, to pray. He did it so consistently, that the disciples noted it as his pattern for life. Luke 5:16 But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. I pray that today, you will begin or deepen your habit for taking time out to pray, and enjoy the richness that is hidden in it.

13.01.2022 Accept Jesus’ Invitation. In our frenetically busy and demanding lifestyles, there is an invitation from Heaven, to quiet your soul and enjoy a moment of peace.... Mark 6:31 Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest. I pray that today, you’ll accept your invitation to find a quiet spot to refresh your soul in God’s presence.

06.01.2022 This weekend we are taking time out to fast, pray and worship, as an investment into 2021. Thursday Evening we begin, by consecrating (offering) ourselves to God afresh. We want to be led by Him, and not by our carnal appetites. Friday we focus on giving thanks. How much do we have to be thankful for? We are so blessed!... Saturday we focus on seeking God’s direction for next year. We want to live accurately, in step with God. Sunday we celebrate and break the fast together. So this weekend, don’t just be a spectator, join us as we go deeper, together!

03.01.2022 Who are you discipling? Jesus left us with a clear set of instructions, and activities that we christians should be consistently engaged in. They’re easy to def...lect to later, or justify why not, or debate into inactivity, or just plain ignore them. But they remain our Lord’s instructions to us, his disciples. Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. I pray that today you will wrestle with how, and who, you can help to grow in their relationship with Jesus.

03.01.2022 Don’t Be Ashamed. Most of us can remember when we didn’t speak up against injustice, or stand up to a bully, because we were too afraid. That memory is most lik...ely tinged with shame. Jesus knew that we would face very intimidating situations, and that if we hid our faith in these moments, then we would feel ashamed of ourselves. Mark 8:38 If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels. I pray that today, you’ll be filled with Holy Spirit boldness and wisdom, and that you will always shine for Jesus.
