Pithy, bitter, with a big & bright citrus punch. 65 IBU Venom American West Coast IPA - 7.1% - 440mL A balls-to-the-wall, bitter strike, hops on steroids American West Coast IPA. We're bringing bitterness back to IPA with a dry finish and a bitter bite, hops for days. and a spit of caramel to let you off lightly. 120+ IBU ***During end stages of canning of our Venom beer it also came to our attention that there is also a legendary gypsy brewer in Victoria already producing beer with this same name @venombeer , which we were not aware of when naming our beer. But that is the industry we are in and with so many amazing brewers and beers around the country it is hard to keep track. It was awesome working with our pals @deepcreekbrewingco @deepcreek_au on this hazy IPA. The star of the show: a very special and rare hop Riwaka. Hailing from the Moutere Valley, just outside of Nelson, New Zealand, friends of ours grew over 20% of the worlds supply this year. We were fortunate enough to have a chance to see the crop last year with Uncle Kem from Eggers Hops. This special little nugget gets even more special this is single farm, sole origin Riwaka that has been kilned longer and at a lower temperature than tradition calls for. We believe this ensures a higher quality hop with arguably higher and more delicate character. Backed up by massive amounts of fresh Victorian Galaxy, and finally topped off by elusive heavy hitters Strata and BRU-1 hops from the Pacific North West. Built upon a blend of malted barley, oats, and wheat, our house NEIPA yeast blend provides a backdrop of beautiful tropical flavour against this godly quartet of hops with their big hits of passionfruit, fresh citrus, pineapple, and bud.
