23.01.2022 Shortly before I went away for a winter break, I had one of the best wedding days of my career. Firstly, I got to be celebrant at a very dear family friends wedding in their backyard (pics of that one to come soon). And then there was Mike and Greg. After more than 3 decades together, and in what must now seem like a totally different world from the one in which they met, these two got married in front of their biggest fans at the home they love. Needless to say, there was...nt a dry eye in the house, nor for those watching from overseas online. I have certainly teared up in weddings before, but this was next level. Theirs is one of those love stories that extends beyond them; it inspires and renews everyone privileged to be a part of it (even a very small part of it like I was). 21.01.2022 Ive said it so often before. Maybe your perfect wedding venue is right under your nose! Jaye and Jason chose to get married on a family property in the hills. One look at these pics and you can see why home weddings can be just as spectacular as pretty much anywhere. This was a really special wedding. Surrounded by their kids, family, friends and nature, Jaye and Jason nailed the relaxed but elegant vibe they were going for. Congratulations team! And thanks Bobbi by Design for the beautiful pics.

20.01.2022 Back when only 5 people could be at a ceremony, Charlotte and Reece brought the iso-wedding vibes in a huge way. Our incredible couple, looking stunning, got a round of applause from strangers in Hyde Park who were grateful for this bit of good news. I cant wait to be at the big party in a few months time when we do it "properly", but for me, this is the truly special bit. Grateful to be there!

Just after Christmas, I was so honoured to be the celebrant for a beautiful school mate of mine who I've known since we were 10! Thanks for having me Mr and Mrs Oliver! 19.01.2022 It was a huge privilege to be a part of Erin and Mikes super chill but utterly stupendous backyard wedding. Ive known Erin for a long time, and I spent many hours of my youth in that particular backyard, so I really wanted it to be extra special for a much loved family. I think we managed that thanks to 2 awesome kids very much in love. So much fun. So much love. Congratulations and thanks a bunch you two.

15.01.2022 I really really really really love my job. Today I worked with two couples, very different in style and personalities, but equally adorable and awesome and inspiring. A traditional white wedding at Matilda Bay, and then a delightfully moving and very well put together home wedding. I also got to see one of my fave photographers whos now based on the East Coast. Ryan at Varga Murphy photography took this banging shot at one of my first ever weddings circa 1977. On Friday I had the honour of being the celebrant at their amazing wedding at Lamonts in the city (shot by the awesome Lana Pratt Photography). Then I got to follow that up with a gorgeous naming ceremony for their perfect daughter this morning at Matilda Bay. Its such a joy to be a part of these moments. Thanks for having me guys. Long story short, nearly 25 years after last being there, I returned to Bakersdale to marry two of the nicest people youd ever hope to meet.
