17.01.2022 The challenge is before us: we need a different approach for the liberation of our gender-diverse adolescents.

01.01.2022 I visited the Rotary Club of Adelaide yesterday, in a conference room overlooking the hallowed turf of The Adelaide Oval. President Heidi Unferdorben (on the left) invited me to the head table to join the guest speaker, Councillor Jane Russo (City of Unley) (pictured on the right) who spoke beautifully about being the parent of a non-binary child. Also joining us at the head table was Elizabeth Dickinson, Senior Advisor, Inclusion and Equity of the Engagement and Wellbeing... Directorate of the Department of Education. On an adjoining table, we were privileged to have the head of diversity and inclusion for the South Australian Police. I am so very proud to be a member of such a progressive organisation like Rotary International, where diversity is one of our core principles. On that note, I was honoured to be introduced as the first transgender person elected to be a President of a Rotary Club in Australia.
