25.01.2022 Some marriage advice for a Sunday morning from two experts** (**not experts at all just making it up day to day) It escalates quickly lol and this is why we are behind the camera most of the time... but seriously, don't take it all so seriously, laugh, have fun and be in the moment xx
23.01.2022 What have we been doing with no weddings to film? Well, both Paul Andrew Kemp and I have other jobs. Paul is a Sales Rep and I’m a Secondary School Teacher, so neither job has ceased. Still we are hungry to be creative and so we set about making a series of videos celebrating our own one sweet day, 20 years ago come September 2nd.... I’m no longer the wide eyes hopeless romantic I was. At war with a desire to declare how head over heals I was for Paul and my deep introverted nature. Our wedding at the time was budget. I worked a second job on trays at the RSL, to pay in cash, because I have a deep anxiety attached to money (hence two jobs still). I was, as I said completely and utterly smitten. Paul, chill as always, was deeply internal and laid back, but I assume equally in love. And now, here we are twenty years later, still working it all out. We’ve faced a lot, cancer, losing a baby, stepmoarenting challenges (and wonderful moments) 3 kids, 2 jobs, huge arguments, fighting for control, realising no one should have control and plenty of bloody great, joy filled times. I like us so much more now than I do in hind sight. We are real, and truthful, we bicker, we give space, we watch too much TV, we doubt our parenting, we love our children, we enjoy their personalities and we keep getting up and sticking around. This is the second last video in our series, titled ‘I will make my home in your heart forever’ stolen from the wedding vows I wrote that now make me laugh out loud. But all of that said, they remain true. https://youtu.be/GsM0umwOXY0

18.01.2022 We have run this business alongside our full-time jobs the whole time we have operated. Gotta say I am so thankful for that. This is the only way we survive now as our full-time jobs keep keeping on (teaching and sales rep). Sending love and light to all the wedding vendors trying to stay afloat.
17.01.2022 Reason 100,000 why I love my job: Last night’s session made me so happy. Just look at these two! They’ve been married for over 50 years. A family I take photo...s for wanted to gift their grandparents a photo session wearing one of my reclamation dresses, and I’m sooo happy they did because this brought me so much joy. This was my favorite shoot ever! They were the sweetest during the whole session. You could tell how much they loved each other by the way he kissed her. I wish you all could have been there with me to witness this in person. #LoveWhatMatters Credit: Mariah Dunaj Photography
16.01.2022 "We renewed our vows, and it might have been better than our actual wedding. Nick’s vows had me crying my eyes out, and walking down the aisle with our girls to... BOTH of my handsome boys was the best. We decided to get married young. We knew we loved God and each other, and that’s all that mattered. I'd just turned 20, and you were 22. Many doubted us. I’ll be the first to admit it was pretty crazy to get married after dating for only 6 months. Yet, here we are 10 years later with 3 beautiful (and crazy) kids, and I’m more certain than ever that being your wife was not just a decision, it was my calling. I’ve dropped the ball. I’ve made mistakes. We both know I’m not perfect. One thing I know to be true, is that you love me nonetheless. Thank you for these 10 years. Thank you for walking through the hard seasons with me, and thank you for being the best husband I could ever ask for. Here’s to many, many, many more years! I love you. " Want to be featured? 15.01.2022 On this day in 1941, Anne Frank was captured on film. For as far as we know, this is the only existing footage of Anne. She is leaning out of the window to get ...a good look of the young couple next door, who are getting married that day. At that time, the Frank family lived at Merwedeplein 37 in Amsterdam. Look around the house where Anne Frank and her family lived. The interior was photographed in 360 degrees and can be seen in Google Arts & Culture! The Anne Frank House is now owner of the Anne Frank's former home on the Merwedeplein.
13.01.2022 Thanks to "Ceremonies By Pam" for supporting Just Random Adds little biz!! Featuring one of our fave weddings ever!!!
13.01.2022 Today marks 1 month till Paul and I celebrate 20 years of marriage. There's more for me to say when we get there but for now, enjoy some laughter of the BTS on a film we are making to celebrate the occasion... as only wedding filmmakers can! https://youtu.be/DtWmUOh_Bjc
10.01.2022 Today we celebrate twenty years of marriage. It's been a journey. Some days I love you beyond measure. Some days you drive me mad just by being. I know it's the same for you and that's okay. The world conditions us with romantic movies and fairy tales to believe the only love worthy is overwhelming, all-consuming love. Little girls play with dream wedding barbies and watch girls being saved by Princes. We think the only way to be in life is to find the other half of oursel...ves. I was one of those girls then. But I believe we have proven that is not the case. We have learnt that daily, yearly as we have gone through experiences of despair, frustration and pure joy. We are two separate and whole people who make a choice to share this one crazy adventure together. Neither of us are the people who stood declaring forever all those years ago. We are now someone else. We have grown and evolved. Two beings declaring daily to stick around and keep doing always. We've created a family, filled with odd bods and individuals. It too has it's ups and downs, but when it is good, it is very, very good, and when it is tough... we keep going through. Thanks, Paulie for a sense of humour I still don't always get, for turning up to every musical I directed because you know it fills my heart, for filming my Joey moment and hugging Donnie Wahlberg, for being my baby Daddy, for Tegan (step mothering is a tough gig), for letting the in-laws live in the back yard and for sticking around to do it all over again! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkdoCwk3lKM

02.01.2022 Amid cancellations and postponements I am sending empathy to couples who’ve had to change their wedding plans. But, I’m also reminding everyone that vendors are small businesses (mostly) in equally distressing times. The money paid to secure services is a booking fee NOT a deposit. It covers securing the day (and saying no to any other enquiry... 10/10/20... I’ve turned down 7 weddings), all associated paperwork and as many pre wedding meetings as you wish. For other creative...s or services it can include trials or more. We are blessed to work seperate to our film company in essential fields so we are doing okay, but I know vendors, friends of mine, with no income at all during this challenging time. So, while I know it’s difficult and painful to have to postpone or cancel your wedding, keep in mind the flow on impact for those who would show up to conduct the services you hired them for if it was still happening. So far all our weddings have been able to be moved so the good times continue. But the sooner we all remember we are in this together (socials distanced of course) the better. And if you are a potential future couple, wanting to trust our creative talents and make some film magic, get in touch! We love working with cool, fun people who get that we just wanna capture the wedding day as it is and make a cool film to be cherished forever.
