20.01.2022 As we begin another year of exciting local happenings, here's a great opportunity to peek into the past of such an integral piece of Adelaide Hills history: visit 'The Mill in Focus - Then and Now': A visual celebration of the iconic buildings and industrial heritage of the state heritage listed Onkaparinga Woollen Mills". Exhibition runs 21st - 24th of January and again on the 30th and 31st of January, from 11:30am - 5pm in building 35 of the Onkaparinga Woollen Mill site.

20.01.2022 Here comes the next lot of wool. 1920's.

18.01.2022 The Onkaparinga Woollen Mill has been in Lobethal for a very long time, and yes the Mill is closed, but it's history needs to be remembered and preserved with a Museum exhibit worthy of it's history in the township. (Photo from the Mill Collection)

18.01.2022 Stuck at home board? You can still explore the Woollen Mill through our virtual tour. This virtual tour example was created through a collaborative project with the CGI and VFX students at Tafe SA and the Onkaparinga Woollen Mill Museum last year. 14.01.2022 Came across this photo taken not that long ago. Just a reminder of our lost opportunity ,the wool was definitely there !

13.01.2022 Here's a sneak peak at the opening night launch of 'Blankets re-imagined: Woven at the Mill'... a wonderful night, well attended (despite the freeeeezing weather!), and a testament to the handwork of the h.ART group in putting together such a wonderful and diverse show.

13.01.2022 Might be a bit of a trip to Lobethal in 1910.

12.01.2022 From the farm to the Mill ?

12.01.2022 State Library of South Australia Photo Share.

12.01.2022 Well hello, G'day, owygoin, Thanks for following OWMMI. Facebook HQ suggested WE start a conversation, place a phone number contact times etc.which I started, first thing that happened, can't access, try later. However in answering hours available, thinking the question was making reference to the phone I put 8a.m.to 10pm now I see on the home page we could be seen to be open tomorrow during this time. SORRY THE COLLECTION OF NATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE will not be on display. YOU CAN PHONE ME or email me or let us chat on Facebook. Which brings me back to another suggestion from HQ have you formed an OWMMI group? So. WHO WOULD LIKE TO BE A FRIEND OF OWMMI? Just give us a like that will give you an update of what is about to Oxford - Things happen.

09.01.2022 Hard to imagine that wool was turned into yarn, then into cloth at the Mill while these machines worked in the padock. Those were the days.

07.01.2022 I thought I had seen it all. This is a great piece of wool carting history.

07.01.2022 Hi everyone, I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. My name is Courtney and I am a new administrator for the Onkaparinga Woollen Mill Museum page. I look forward to working with the team and hearing from all their lovely followers.

07.01.2022 Onkaparinga Woollen Mill's new Instagram page is up and running. Check it out for future post and updates. https://www.instagram.com/onkaparingawoollenmill/?hl=en

07.01.2022 So after reading ,then underlining the relevant facts & re reading, we now understand the AHC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK. If you would like to know more, you can go to the AHC agenda & minutes of the February 27th ordinary Council meeting, item 12.1 & first & second appendix. You will see OWMMinc has no governance & members are only wanted for interpretation & their stories of the Mill. The Collection of National Significance will be picked over to show a changing contempo...rary display, the bulk of it,that part that shows the process of cloth production will be stored in a shed @ the Sport & Rec. Oval to forget about. So what are we doing? I asked, from the gallery of the council chamber, on the night of the above meeting, what about this year's history festival?? I didn't get an answer & still haven't. So. OWMMinc.has taken the decision to cancel our booking & the 100 or so forward prearranged visitors, to whom we sincerely apologize. We are moving everything from blg.21 back to blg.26. SORRY FOLKS!!!! Arnold. Here is the Link - http://www.ahc.sa.gov.au//180227%20Council%20Agenda%20Publ
