25.01.2022 QR CODE Check-In at Woodside Courts UPDATED: My SA Gov app with QR code is now available for iPhones. Just tried it, and it worked a treat! Search in the App St...ore, or Google Play if you have an Android phone Just a reminder that new government regulations mean that we must have a QR code check-in system operating at Woodside from tonight. Our QR code will be available for scanning at all entry gates and around the clubrooms. It seems that the My SA Gov app is now up and running for Android devices. The new iPhone version which supports QR code scanning is expected to be available some time this afternoon. The latest information is that those who don't have the app can just use the camera on their phone to scan the code. You will then have to enter your personal details to complete the check-in. There will also be a good old-fashioned pen & paper list available for those who don't have phones. Children accompanied by parents/guardians do not need to check in. Everyone else will need to do so. This website provides a good overview of the QR code requirements. https://www.covid-19.sa.gov.au/business/covid-safe-check-in We're all going to be learning about this tonight and tomorrow. We'll have multiple volunteers around the entrances to help. Please remember to keep social distancing and try to avoid blocking the entrances. There are new limits of numbers of people in specified areas of the complex. This means there is a limit of people who can be under the verandah at any time. We ask that you don't congregate under the verandah, but meet up with your teammates and friends on the grassed area instead. It'll be great to get back out on the courts. We thank you for co-operating with these new procedures.

25.01.2022 Please note; there are new court allocations for Grand Finals. See you all out there, cheering loud

24.01.2022 Merry Christmas We hope that all our members, Facebook followers and families have a fantastic Christmas. 2020... has been a year like no other, one we won’t forget in a hurry. let’s hope we can get back on court for an uninterrupted 2021!!

24.01.2022 PREMIERS 2020 15s div 1 Onkas 44 defeated Hahndorf 24... We came out firing today and the defensive pressure from each and every girl was insane. They backed each other up and kept their composure. We lead beautifully to the ball and just held possession. Each quarter they simply built on the list, even when the Hahndorf cheer squad started up and the pressure on court lifted we just gave more. The future for these girls look bright!!

23.01.2022 9s div 1 Wow!!!! The girls have made me so proud today!!! Played so well, bringing the ball down the court by passing in front. I am sure all the parents are nodding in agreement

19.01.2022 PREMIERS 2020 Onkas 33 def Hahndorf Black 19... Congratulations to my Onkas girls tonight on a fabulous Grand Final. We started off slowly in the first quarter with the girls chasing Hahndorf with a three goal lead. After a couple of changes, the Onkas girls were unstoppable and played their best game of the season. They stepped up in defence with many turnovers and our goalies shot with confidence and moved around their third effortlessly. Our mid court girls stepped up and played the game of their lives. I am just so proud of all the girls tonight. One very happy coach! Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on tonight too. It was greatly appreciated. Best Player: Who do I choose?? They all played their best and thats all I could ask for. See more

19.01.2022 Well folks..... the last court allocations for 2020! Its been a strange year, but so glad we were able to play the game we love in a condensed season. Thank you to the Board of Management at Mid Hills, our Committee, Coaches, Umpires and Team Managers who have made this year possible.... Good luck to our 4 teams in the Grand Final this weekend, hope to see as many Onkas supporters as possible supporting our teams.

19.01.2022 13s div 3 Onkas 19 Def by Lobethal 27 Pretty tough night for the team not coming away with the win. Lobethal came out hard and strong tonight and showed impressive skills all game. It was such a great game to watch with lots of intercepts and turnovers from both teams. ... We had an amazing season this year and I couldnt be more proud of my team. The improvement from the start of the season was incredible. Finishing top of the ladder is such a fantastic achievement and all my girls should be proud of themselves. Goodluck to my girls who are also in U11s playing in another final tomorrow!!!

18.01.2022 Let’s hope 2021 is better than 2020

18.01.2022 Onkas under 11s Div 1 lost to Hahndorf 32-6. The team tried so hard the entire game, they kept fighting and did not stop attacking the ball. Congratulations on a great season guys you were a pleasure to coach. Bring on 2021

17.01.2022 The hall is also available for hire too

16.01.2022 Just a reminder our AGM is this Thursday, no longer than an hour generally. We need your help to make sure we have enough people to hold the AGM. Please come along and support YOUR CLUB!!

16.01.2022 Under 15/1 Onkas defeated Woodside Today was a hard, physical game for us. Woodside came out and literally hit us hard from the start. Full credit to the team today. They rallied together and just simply stuck at it. Never giving up. Stepping up when needed and just pushing it to the absolute limit. The actual score didnt matter today just as long as we finished with the win. So very proud of the maturity, the grit and the level of composure from EVERY SINGLE ONE of the girls today. Grand Final here we come!!!! Please every single Onkas player and supporter get out there next week and support our juniors.

15.01.2022 Dont forget to come and support the teams in the grand finals tonight and tomorrow. Go Onkas Dont forget to come and support the teams in the grand finals tonight and tomorrow. Go Onkas

15.01.2022 13 Div2 Onkas 21 def Macclesfield 11 It was a great night for the semi finals with the Onkas girls playing their hearts out with 100% effort. We had a very defensive first quarter with our goalies shooting with accuracy. The second quarter was a different story with Macclesfield putting extra pressure on each of our girls making it an even quarter. The second half the Onkas girls played with great determination intercepting many passes and passing straight into our forward line. A fantastic game by all and I am so proud of them all. Bring on the GF! Best Player: Issy Archer She had a tough time tonight against a very tight and physical defender. Issy wanted to change positions, but after a bit of encouragement, continued to play with determination and accuracy.

15.01.2022 we will be back this week. For those playing Summer netball please have a read and download the app ready for a smooth entry into the courts.

14.01.2022 13s div 1 Onkas 34 defeated Mt Barker United 12 Full credit tonight to Mt Barker United who came out firing, the score line does not reflect the battle that we had on court. Our girls played an amazing game, each one of them stepped up and took care of their own role. Great Movement in the circle from Georgia, Teagan and Jodhi was great tonight, working together to balance the circle. Our mid courters Laci and Erin were able to control the pace of the ball, with strong dri...ves to open up the court. Defensive pressure from Zoe, Adysen and Kayla was outstanding tonight, the amount of turnover ball was fantastic. Next week we meet Hahndorf in the Grand Final for what will definitely be a tough arm wrestle. Well done girls See more

14.01.2022 Under 15 div 3 Onkas 14 defeated by Mt Pleasant 25 Unfortunately today wasnt our day. Mt Pleasant came out with an intensity and game plan that we couldnt match. Well done to Mt Pleasant and good luck for next week. Now Id rather talk about something else! ... Its been an absolute pleasure and privilege to coach this wonderful group of girls this season. For my first season of under 15s they made it one hell of a time. The growth I saw in each and every one of them was incredible. I probably drove them completely insane with my passionate nature but I hope they can walk away from this season with their heads held high. We finished second on the ladder, with only one loss in the minor round. Pretty bloody good achievement in my eyes! Im very proud of the girls and I wish them all the best in the future (hopefully Ill get a chance to coach them again). Thanks to Piper for benching for me today and to Tilly for being completely understanding of my coaching decision (it is something a coach admires and respects in a person). Thanks to Jill Shillabeer (Nanna) for being a wonderful assistant coach, I love having someone with so much experience to bounce my ideas off of. Also, a big thanks to Amee Yardley for scoring/timing every week! Courier best (and I think everyone would agree) - Gabby Howard. Gabby kept us in the game for the first three quarters today, working so hard to intercept as many balls as she could get her hands on. Love to you all!

14.01.2022 15 div 2 Onkas 16 defeated by Echunga 30 A hard game against a strong team. We struggled to get started, with attack finding it difficult to get it into the goalies. We missed opportunities to catch up, with Echungas lead growing as the game went on. Defence fought hard to keep us in it, but unfortunately we could not convert. Well done to everyone for a great season, we are very proud of all the improvements in each girls game

13.01.2022 Congratulations 17s Div 2

13.01.2022 Ahh 2020, throwing up obstacles big and small. Fortunately this one is relatively small compared to a global pandemic. It will be disruptive though. There are... roadworks on the entry to the Woodside Rec Ground from Onkaparinga Valley Road (the one between the bowling club and the playground). This means the entry is likely to be unusable for tonight and possibly tomorrow. Everyone will need to enter the complex from Nairne Road by the ambulance station / swimming pool. Please do not enter using the other roadway between the footy and soccer ovals. That road is for exit only and is not wide enough for 2 way traffic. We've been advised that the roadworks should be complete by Wednesday afternoon, but would recommend that everyone coming to Woodside allows a bit of extra time just in case.

13.01.2022 B3 Our final game of the season and we were able to go out on a high, leading from the beginning. A great game by everyone, playing a team game. Thanks to Aimee for taking the court when our captain went down. Season 2020, youve been a wild one.

13.01.2022 Congratulations to Lucy Stokes who caught the selectors eye at Academy Games and has been invited to trial for the U17 state trials. Good luck Lucy, we know you will do the club proud

12.01.2022 PREMIERS 2020 17s div 2 Onkas 42 defeated Mt Barker Lutheran 9... The improvement in our team from the start of the season to this game has been nothing short of amazing. We have worked so hard on our game play, our pressure and our drive down the court! We were on from the start. The defence gave us so much of the ball and our goalies worked the ball in each and every time. The team won the game today and that included every single bench player. So very proud of the work these girls have put in. Woo hoo Premiers!!! Thanks to everyone who came out and supported today. The girls loved hearing your voice from the sidelines.

10.01.2022 CANCELLATION In line with the announcement by the SA Premier this afternoon, all community sport, both indoor and outdoor, is cancelled for at least 2 weeks fro...m midnight tonight. As a result, there will be no summer netball for that period. We are obviously very disappointed, but the most important thing is to keep our community safe. Please everyone, practice good hygiene, social distancing and all those things we learned earlier this year. We all hope that this outbreak is controlled quickly so we can get back to the sport we love.

10.01.2022 Good luck to Laci Hugo, Kayla Langbein and Eliza Kemp who were all selected to represent Hills at Sapsasa netball this week down at Priceline Stadium. Good luck

10.01.2022 A Grade Echunga 45 def Onkas 30. Our girls played hard today, and I think we can all say they left nothing out there. At the end of a different season, I hope our ladies have learnt something about themselves and where they want to take their game in 2021. A big thank you to Asheigh Callins for being my amazing Assistant this year and our beautiful Bronwyn Taheny for being a fantastic Team Manager and to all those amazing spectators for your support this season. Thank you A Grade for this year, cant wait for next year,

07.01.2022 13s div 1 - GRAND FINAL Onkas 23 defeated by Hahndorf 44 The score line tonight does not reflect the effort and drive these amazing girls have. They gave it their absolute all tonight but Hahndorf were just too strong and tall for us. We went down fighting right to the last whistle. We didnt get the result we wanted but be proud of your season. It has been an absolute pleasure to coach these girls this year, I have pushed them out of their comfort zone, Ive asked for more ...when they thought they couldnt and they delivered. We have had tears, laughs and plenty of smiles, I believe each and every one of them have grown and developed their own personal game. Massive thank you to everyone who has been out to support us not only tonight but during the season. Special thanks to the 15s and 17s for our traditional massive club cheer at the end of the game. 05.01.2022 PLAYING SUMMER? HAVE YOU REGISTERED? Just one week to go until our summer season starts. ... Remember that all regular players must have a current (2020) registration. This is a NetballSA requirement and is not optional. There are still over 150 players who were listed on the team sheets submitted, but who are not registered. That's way too many. Every team organiser will have received an email from us about a week ago, listing players who are unregistered. If you're a team contact and didn't receive an email, please check your junk mail. If you still can't find it, contact [email protected] and we'll re-send. If you're having trouble registering, we can help. Just email [email protected] with details of your problem and we'll help you sort it out. We'll be doing a registration check every week and will require every unregistered player to buy a single game voucher, then register before they play again. That will work out to be expensive, so don't let that be you. We're here to help. Don't hesitate to ask us.

02.01.2022 Under 17/2 Onkas 34 defeated Hahndorf 9 After a tight start to the game and an unfortunate injury to a Hahndorf player the 17s settled and started playing their game. And play they did. They backed each other up, they ran for the ball and they lead well to the ball. Their defensive pressure, lead by their captain Tahlia was outstanding. Thanks again to the 15s who benched for us today. We will train hard this week and come out ready and firing for the grand final next week! Best wishes to Lian from Hahndorf who went down with what looked like a horrible knee injury.
