21.01.2022 I’m reflecting on work this week as this quote came up on my calendar. I really do love what I do. I enjoy discovering the strengths teams have, the challenges they face. Helping them build awareness, explore opportunities, and work with tension to drive creativity and innovation and get to where they want to be - For me this is such an exciting and dynamic space to be working in. Thanks to my clients for trusting me and inviting me to walk by your side. This helps bring me joy and satisfaction in my work and in the relationships we create.

21.01.2022 A busy day of learning today, understanding the research and evidence base of the Mental Toughness tool and how it can be used for individuals, teams and organizations. I’m looking forward to working with this to support my clients to increase their wellbeing, boost resilience, enhance performance and achieve their goals. If you want to know more get in touch and take a peek at the link below.... https://www.mentaltoughness.partners/introduci/mt-with-4cs/

20.01.2022 Today I met with Primary Ethics local regional coordinator Ann Hollifield to learn about how to get involved in this great initiative. Primary Ethics is a not for profit organisation that enable ethics classes to be developed and delivered to primary schools across Australia. This gives parents and children the choice to opt in to these classes, allowing children to develop critical thinking skills about issues that there aren’t always easy answers for. I’m really looking for...ward to becoming a part of this amazing team of talented volunteers, learning new skills and helping grow the minds of our little people to develop skills that will help them be the most capable people they can be. https://www.illawarramercury.com.au//push-for-more-ethics/

17.01.2022 Kristen Neff is a self compassion expert. She’s got some really useful resources if you’re on a self compassion journey. Self compassion sits at the heart of vulnerability, mindfulness and developing the strength to be ourselves and back ourselves through life’s ups and downs. If you’re wondering how you rate on self compassion check out Kristen’s web page and take the self compassion quiz

11.01.2022 Rest In Peace Professor Anthony Grant. It was lovely to be part of the reflection on your life and work today at the Australian Coaching Psychology Conference. Thanks for all of the learning, inspiration and good humour you shared with all of the coaching psychology students over the last 20 years. What a ripple effect all of your work will have for years to come. I count myself lucky to have known you and learnt from you. I remember walking past your office and seeing this hung above your desk. I’ll keep doing this too, it’s a good way to live

09.01.2022 I always enjoy reading about Atlassian, their leadership philosophy and desire to make a genuine difference in the world and as they say, they Don’t f***k with the customer. Here is some more real time leadership in action. Putting time, energy and resources into tackling one of our most pressing issues. Using influence in a positive way to mobilise and engage action in a space that some politicians are failing to do so. Great work Cannon-Brookes and to everyone involved. Watch this space.

08.01.2022 Boundary setting is tough, whether we are doing this at home, at work, or in our social circles. Great Q&A session below (thanks Brene!) with useful advice https://www.youtube.com/watch

08.01.2022 Beautiful quote....but I think we need people to be like this, not just women

07.01.2022 Understanding our personalities, strengths as well as the things that derail us can help us evolve as human beings. If you are working towards developing your leadership the Hogan Assessments are a great place to learn more about yourself. https://www.peterberry.com.au/blog/video-how-do-you-derail/

06.01.2022 A big thanks to my wonderful hubby Matt Schoo for giving me the time away from daily life and responsibilities to allow me to be in the space to engage in Brene Browns work over the past 2 days. I’ll always be grateful to you helping me create the time and supporting my needs to keep on learning and growing. Love you Big gratitude moment for all of the people in this photo. Thank you for sharing. Thanks for your openness, being brave enough to be raw, real and help us all c...onnect as human beings in the challenges we encounter when rumbling with vulnerability. I have learned more about myself in the past two days, and have learnt from each of you and your experiences and stories. The more we know about how we show up when life gets tough, how those we love and interact with show up, the better we can be at responding in a way that aligns to our values. We can be our true selves, with authenticity and compassion for who we are and where others are along their journey.

04.01.2022 Spending my weekend with great friends and indulging in my favourite area of learning
