25.01.2022 Another big week in books coming out of these covid restrictions in Melbourne. Both our Suspension department and workshop are full noise again. 24.01.2022 Another solid day on the @lainersuspension Epica for cartridges. We have been testing both the Xplor trail settings and AER Cross Country settings over the last few week and have been very impressed by them. The range of adjustablilty is huge which makes these cartridges very versatile. Something that has really caught our attention is how much front end feel and grip they offer especially in the current dry conditions.... We will have some more info and RRP on these units in coming week as well as having a full fork package we will using for riders to demo that can be set up to suit any KTM or Husqvarna off road and motocross models as well any riders weight and level. 12.01.2022 2021 YZ250F Development. Our suspension tech, sponsored and test rider @ethan.maiwald recently took ownership of the new Yamaha. We have been running the bike in stock trim over the last 2 weeks to get some baseline settings for both off road and motocross applications. Initially at first impressions the bike was very impressive out of the box with some great chassis geometry characteristics and a very good positive wheel to ground feel. Even though the bike is set up extre...mely firm especially for off road use, its super stable but the firmness does introduce excessive rider feedback and makes it hard to complete longer motos with some situations causing riders hands to go completely numb. We also had a play with rear spring pre load as from factory the standard spring has 15mm + of preload. We have now settled at a really good point in clickers/ preload setting and will now look at installing heavier rear spring rate with lower preload setting to try further improve rear end feel and balance before making any dampening changes. The forks will also get a outer fork service, spring rate test, spring preload setting check. Looking forward to developing this bike and to work on improving current KYB settings and packages with Ethan for off road racing and use as well as working on some mx settings over next few weeks. Once chassis and suspension set up development is complete we will then start to work on some performance packages. 12.01.2022 Productive longweekend spent installing our new suspension bench and re arranging the suspension room. A huge thanks to @matt_p935 from Hawkshaw welding & fabrication for building this custom bench to suit our workspace and needs. Can't speak highly enough for his workmanship. Looking forward to getting back into tomorrow with plenty of suspension services and set up's booked in over next few week. Super excited to get 2021 started with some big changes to our workshop, websites, support & testing programs for both Moto & MTB. 06.01.2022 Game Changer!!! We are very excited to announce we have recently taking delivery of one of the first @motioninstruments Moto Data Aquistion Systems in the country. This system comes with wireless fork and shock tracers and the software that collects and analyses data from tracers at a factory level. This will take our R&D and testing to the next level and give us real life data that actually simulates what happens on a race track. The data we have already collected after onl...y handful of sessions with this units is already mind blowing. We are still in the early stages of using this equipment and learning the data before we make it available for public to use on private test days and our race ready camps with @offroadperformancecoach. We will have more update system as we use this system with the development of the 2021 models in coming months. 02.01.2022 We are super excited to have received one of the very first sets of the @lainersuspension Epica Cartridges in the country. These will be available as direct replacement for WP 48mm AER, & Xplor forks. We are going to put them through a testing program to get some baseline settings for both Enduro and Mx with various riders at all levels before making them available for demo use. The quality and finish are a very high standard with some awesome features that make this cartridg...es super tunable via external adjustments. Keep a eye out on our feedback over coming weeks. Here are some of key features. Compression damping 60 clicks of sensitive adjustment Adjustment at top of cartridge. Rebound damping 50 clicks of sensitive adjustment Located at fork bottom. External spring preload adjustment 0 to 15mm Easily adjusted with a 16mm socket at the forks Bladder System EPICA cartridge incorporates Lainer’s Progressive Damping System (PDS) for increased hydraulic damping at the end stroke.
