17.01.2022 Following a car infront of you these days, is not something people think much of when it comes to safety. When a learner driver is asked what is the minimum safe following distance, the typical answer is 1 or 2 car lengths. This may be good a very slow speeds, but when traveling at 100km's/h, this distance is too dangerous. A safe following distance is not calculated in distance, but rather in time. A safe following distance in QLD is a minimum of 2 seconds in great condition...s. This is to account for your reaction time (the time is takes to see the hazard infront, release the accelerator, and start applying the brake), and also the time it takes the vehicle to slow down or possibly stop in time. When conditions start to get worse, the following distance can go to 3, 4, or even 5 seconds or more depending on the conditions. Driving a loan car this weekend, I noticed that it had a display for following distance, to help show drivers what a safe following distance is. 11.01.2022 Booking a driver's test is now available online, you can visit the TMR page to make this booking, or you can still book the test on the phone, by calling TMR on 13 23 80. Bulk lessons are not yet available through driving school, only directly through TMR. As part of the health and safety requirements, the test vehicle interior must be presented in a clean and tidy state, free from any rubbish, dust or dirt. Failure to do this may result in the driving test being cancelled. The Driving Examiners may wipe interior vehicle surfaces with suitable surface cleaning wipes.

03.01.2022 Just received and installed the iDRIVE from iDRIVE Australia. This little device is going to make the throttle more controllable, with 4 driving modes and 20 different settings, the acceleration is going to make driving much easier for myself and my clients. A very easy and simple installation, just plug and play, the hardest thing was deciding where to locate the controller.... Slow manoeuvres are going to be more controlled, and quick acceleration when merging is going to be easier and safer. I have several driving lessons today, so it will be tested on its performance.
