21.01.2022 Emergency Warning - Failford Rd, Darawank (Mid-Coast LGA) A bush fire is burning in the Failford Rd, Darawank area North of Forster-Tuncurry. The fire is curren...tly out of control. CURRENT SITUATION Multiple fires are burning in the area of Failford Rd and The Lakes Way, Darawank. The fire is moving in a North Easterly direction towards Blackhead Road, Hallidays Point. The fire has crossed The Lakes Way. Strong winds may blow embers well ahead of the main fire front. These embers may create spot fires and threaten properties even in built up areas. Firefighters are working to protect properties and slow the spread of the fire. ADVICE If you are in the Darawank, Corrigan or Hallidays Point you should seek shelter in a solid structure as the fire front approaches. Protect yourself from the heat of the fire. ORHER INFORMATION If your life is at risk, call Triple Zero (000) immediately. Continue to stay up to date with the bush fire situation by checking http://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au, listening to your local radio station or by calling the NSW RFS Bush Fire Information Line on 1800 679 737. We have been receiving some requests for shearing at the moment, some of you may already know but we have relocated to central west from the mid north coast. I will still be servicing the area however it will only be specific times throughout the year.
