14.01.2022 We have been given conflicting information with the federal and state branches of the Australian Dental association having differing opinions on the level of dental treatment guidelines applicable today. It seems evident and prudent to err on the side of caution and conduct our practice's dental treatment according to level 3 guidelines. This means: That is, dentists should only perform dental treatments that do not generate aerosols, or where treatment generating aerosols is... limited. All routine examinations and treatments should be deferred. Please accept our apologies for any confusion and understand that, until further notice On Track Dental will be working according to level 3 guidelines. 10.01.2022 The coronavirus We would like to reassure everyone that we are confident in our hygiene procedures and that we are providing a safe environment for all who visit us. In fact it may be that dental practices are one of the safest places to be at the moment. Our sterilisation procedures are tested every cycle and the disinfectant used to wipe over all surfaces is known to eliminate the virus. All our team are diligent in providing a safe environment.... We are, of course, available by telephone or email should you wish to discuss anything or have a dental problem or question but are worried about leaving home. We are investigating video, one to one, appointments for simple consultations. This may take time but "watch this space".

10.01.2022 We have just been advised, by the Australian Dental Association, that we are still on level 2 guidelines of dental service. Apparently many of us jumped the gun! This allows to safely provide routine dental treatment including fillings and examinations.... Telephone us for an appointment on 9457 2347. We will update should we hear any further information. Difficult times!

08.01.2022 Tonight the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC), which is comprised of all state and territory Chief Health Officers and chaired by the Australian Chief Medical Officer, has advised all dental practices in Australia to move to Level 3 guidelines as outlined in the Australian Dental Association's guidance. This means that dentists should only perform dental treatments that do not generate aerosols, or where treatment generating aerosols is limited.
