17.01.2022 More on the R34 GTT story.. whist at M1 Tuning Ben noticed a large pressure drop from turbo to intake. We thought it might be a boost leak, so on went the smoke testing equipment.. no leak.. We rolled all the intercooler pipes with a larger die, just in case. We also pulled apart the brand new Turbosmart plumb back BOV, only to find this little guy. You have to look hard but in the first picture you can just see a small piece of ally stuck on the BOV Piston seal.. That sucks but a good find. In the second picture you can see it finally out, and placed on the top of the flange. Once all put back together it worked perfectly. Such a small thing can cause big problems. Once again I’m so impressed with the level of professionalism and quality of work at M1 Tuning. Thanks again Ben.

13.01.2022 Huge Thanks to Ben from @M1tuning for doing such a great job tuning the R34. I couldn’t be happier. The car drives like a stock tuned car. Absolutely no hesitations anywhere, just clean and crisp everywhere in the rev range. The turbo we used is the latest Hiflow from @mtaturbochargers. It has the newly designed billet compressor wheel in it, and it’s awesome!! It drives like a stock turbo except when you put your foot down, there is plenty of power to play with. This is the dyno graph, the intercooler, exhaust size and 98 fuel where limiting the turbos potential. But I like this set up so much I might just have make those changes and build another one on e85 ;)

04.01.2022 This little BEAST of a turbo is the Latest and Greatest highflow R34 GTT Turbo (OP6) from MTA Turbochargers It has a brand new billet front wheel, that makes silly power out of such a small frame. There is absolutely no modifications needed to run this turbo. It’s a direct fit. We used this one on a customer car recently, and the results where just amazing! It’s drives just like a stock turbo, so almost no lag, but it just keeps pulling! We where able to wind it up to 20psi o...n a stock neo with 1000cc injectors, 460 fuel pump a 3 inch exhaust and a return flow intercooler. On pump gas it made 378hp to the wheels! It would make more but the intercooler and exhaust where really holding it back. As well as the 98 fuel. I can’t wait to see what it will max out at. So we might just have to build another car and head back to M1 Tuning to do exactly that. See more
