22.01.2022 Butch hanging out on the back lawn with his pups this afternoon.

19.01.2022 A couple of new additions to our Merino ram battery. They were purchased at the Terrick West on property sale on Friday 7th of August. I chose not to go to the sale because of the Covid restrictions and had our classer Stephen Chalmers act on our behalf. So today was the first I got to see the boys, very happy with them.

19.01.2022 About a month ago we made the decision to fast track our entry into Merino breeding. This started with the purchase of a line of 5yo Merino ewes from Ballatherie at the Hillston store sheep sale. Last week we sold our 3yo ewes that had produced 1st cross lambs this year on Auctionsplus and hopefully we will sell the 4yo ewes this Tuesday. That meant we needed more Merino rams which we purchased at the Wallaloo Park ram sale last Thursday. ... John and Jenny Carter dropped them off yesterday, it was great to be able to finally see them and get our hands on them as we were unable to go to the sale. Very happy with them on inspection, looking forward to putting them to work and seeing the progeny.

18.01.2022 I could be rude and say what else would you expect from a Collie pretty tough looking lamb

16.01.2022 It’s a bit late but I have got some sheep onto this dry land paddock of Barley that I sowed in March/April. There is an awesome strike of trefoil clover through it, in some spots it’s nearly as high as the tray on the ute. There is also a nice amount of rye grass as well, the ewes should still do well post weaning here. Chew fast girls

15.01.2022 Some footage of our first drop of Merino weaners. We had them in the yards today to get a progress weight on them. The entire draft averaged just on 42kg and weighed up to 57kg, with the oldest of the lambs a bit better than 4.5 months old. Pretty pleased with how they are travelling.

14.01.2022 We gave Tez and Butch's pups a look at some sheep last night, fairly safe to say that they have switched on. So much for my nicely dog trained weaners! The pups are 8 weeks old today.

12.01.2022 This is a bitch pup from our Butch/Tez litter owned by Herb Cooper having her first look at sheep. I think she is a little cracker

12.01.2022 A busy few days with two drafts of our first cross wethers lambs going out today. The footage is of our first draft that are going to JBS in Brooklyn, we also sent a smaller draft of the seconds to Deniliquin.

11.01.2022 We shore our First Cross ewe lambs today. Big thanks to John, Bert and Mick from Kyneton Shearing for the cracking job they did on shearing them. Also to Rochelle and Renzo for a great job with the wool. They look absolutely mint The footage is of the first count out this morning.

11.01.2022 6 weeks old today, little bunch of time wasters

07.01.2022 A few days ago Capree Rosie (back left) returned to the fold. We sold Rose 3 years ago to someone needing an experienced semi retired paddock dog. They recently sold their property and had no further need for her so she has returned to Oola Park for retirement. Rose is pictured with her son Butch and his son Jet, this is the first time I have had 3 generations of breeding on the farm

05.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago Darcoo Spice joined the team. Darcoo Squirt x Darcoo Termite. Nice to have a red and tan in the team. Looking forward to working with her.

03.01.2022 We brought our First Cross lambs up today, ran them through the Combi clamp and key hole crutched them. We are still a few weeks off shearing them and starting to see a few blowflies about. This will get them through to shearing, better to be safe than sorry!

01.01.2022 On Tuesday night Tez produced 6 pups, 4 dogs and 2 bitch pups all Black and Tan. This is her first litter and all went smoothly, she is doing a great job looking after them. We already have one little fatty developing. They are by our dog Butch and this is also his first litter. Really looking forward to watching them develop and being able to work with them

01.01.2022 Tomorrow on Auctionsplus National lamb sale at 1pm we are offering our first draft of Merino wethers, lot 525.
