We had loads of fantastic and innovative entries from across the company, but the winning design was from one of our Mechanical Engineers (Andrew Tran) with his concept for Refrigeration Alarms Well done Andrew!... 24.01.2022 Oomiak is right on track with our exciting project for the new packaging and export distribution centre for Montagues. Equipment manufacturing is in its final stages at our South Australia manufacturing centre, while our works on site in Narre Warren in Victoria are progressing in line with the project schedule. The new packaging and export distribution centre is a $54 million project which will feature Australia’s first optical sorting equipment and horticulture’s first f...ully automated high bay storage facility. The 18,000 square metre facility will have the capacity to process in excess of 34 million kilograms of fresh fruit product annually. This is a very significant project for Montagues who are an Australian leader in fresh produce. Oomiak Project Manager, Matthew Fechner said that the manufacture of key equipment has gone smoothly and we were in the process of freighting our equipment to site. He added, organisation and expert skills have been key to ensuring that we deliver our projects on time and to budget during these uncertain times for the world. COVID-19 has not stopped Oomiak from delivering our projects or maintenance services throughout Australia. 08.01.2022 Oomiak is very proud to be working with Montague on their new packaging and export distribution centre in Narre Warren North, Victoria, Australia. Montague who are one of Australian leading fresh produce companies has started its $54 million project which will feature Australia’s first optical sorting equipment and horticulture’s first fully automated high bay storage facility. Oomiak will be developing an ammonia based chiller refrigeration plant operating alongside a CO2 heat pump package which will provide the total glycol cooling and hot water heating requirements of the facility. Oomiak Business Development Director Mark Holden said this was an innovative and exciting project to be working on. Offsite manufacture of key equipment is underway in Oomiak’s manufacturing centre in Adelaide.
