20.01.2022 ***Vacation Care Update*** Vacation Care will proceed this week at both Cromer Kids Club & St Johns Kids Club. Individual messages are being sent to those families attending explaining the signing in/out process but the main thing is we ask Parents to stop at the gates and not to enter the Services. An educator will be positioned on the other side of the gate to avoid close contact. Our COVID-safe plans are still current and in place, as are our rigid cleaning processes. Please stay safe and we wish all our wonderful families a safe and as wonderful Christmas as possible under these circumstances. Chris and Lou Hegarty.

Our Software provider IT team have been advised of this issue and working on a solution, we apologise for any inconvenience caused. We will update once the service has been restored. If you wish to book your child in for next week please email Head Office with your childs name and dates needed [email protected]. Please note Tuesday 19th January is full.

17.01.2022 10th June 2020 Return to Child Care Subsidy (CCS) Dear Families, It was announced on the 6th June that the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package (free childcare) will conclude at midnight 12th July 2020. We are required as of 13th July 2020 to begin charging and recovering the gap fee from families for any care provided as per our obligations under the Family Assistance Law. ... We are therefore beginning to plan for the return of the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). During this time, we may have provided a change in care sessions for your child or your child may not have attended our service at all. To assist our forward planning, we request you notifying Head Office on 99848089 or [email protected] to discuss any change to your booking that were current pre COVID-19, by Friday 19th June 2020. This week, the Department of Education, Skills and Employment have requested all services to forward the following information to families. If you received Child Care Subsidy (CCS) for 2018-2019 you are required to confirm your income with Centrelink. This includes CCS paid directly to you and CCS paid on your behalf to your childcare provider. Most parents have already confirmed their income, but if you haven’t, do it now. If you don’t confirm your income by 30th June 2020, your CCS will stop on 13th July 2020. To confirm your income with Centrelink, you and your partner need to either: o lodge your tax returns with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) o complete an ‘Advise non-lodgement of tax return in your Centrelink online account through myGov or your Express Plus Centrelink mobile app. If you’ve already confirmed your family income for 2018-2019, there’s nothing else you need to do. Once the current Relief Package concludes, any applicable CCS will be applied to your account for any care provided and our service will reintroduce fees as per our Payment of Fees Policy. Statements will be sent out from Monday 27th July (for weeks 13th July 26th July) and the fortnightly direct debits will recommence Tuesday 28th July. It is your responsibility to ensure your booking is correct moving forward. Families who were receiving CCS prior to 6th April 2020 will not need to do anything as long as they have remained eligible. The temporary allowance of 62 absent days per child will cease on 30th June 2020 and revert to 42 allowable absent days per year. Absent days will commence to accumulate post 30th June. To ensure a smooth transition back to CCS, please do not hesitate to speak with management personally if you have any questions. Thank you for your support during the past few months. 01.01.2022 *** Vacation Care Update*** With the recent escalation of COVID-19 cases on our Northern Beaches, we have had to adjust our arrangements accordingly. We will be combining our Vacation Care program for the next 2 days, closing St Johns Kids Club Vac Care and moving them to the Cromer Kids Club Vac Care (Cromer Public School) entry in Carcoola Road Cromer. We apologise for any inconvenience but the change is necessary and we will update you on any further changes. We know the... recent announcements of restrictions on the Northern Beaches (and now the wider community) was not what we were hoping for, especially at this time of year but we want to reassure you that we are continuing to prioritise the health and safety of our families, children and staff. As per NSW Health advice, any staff member who is required to isolate and be tested has followed these instructions and as I write, no staff member has returned a positive result. We will continue to health screen our staff members, support any vulnerable team member and provide wellbeing support. This is in addition to all standard COVIDSafe practices, such as hygiene measures and our already thorough cleaning processes and we have added a deep clean to our service as well. We do remind parents not to enter the 2nd gate at the Cromer Kids Club to avoid close contact with team members. We understand this may be an anxious time and we want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to keep your children in attendance and our staff safe whilst still providing a much needed service.
