In Indigenous artwork the circles often represent meeting places. The dotted lines coming into the circles represent the journeys, from place to place.... In this painting the centre circle represents the great Bundjalung Tribe and surrounding tribes of the Bundjalung Nations. (Northern Rivers, Byron Bay Area- NSW). In Australia we have come across many different native animals on our Journey and they all have a different significant meanings. For example, the turtle often represents protection or guardianship.
