23.01.2022 Every year our care community remembers residents who have passed away in the last year with a memorial Christmas tree. We hold an afternoon to reminisce and reflect on friends, and sometimes family, who have lived at Warrandyte Gardens. A small dove with a notation about the special person is placed on our tree. This year we had six families join us via Zoom as well as Meaningful Mates, team members and residents all sharing stories about our residents who have passed. #WarrandyteGardens #agedcare #eldercare #gonebutneverforgotten #OurPeopleAreLoved

22.01.2022 It is a Japanese tradition for a centenarian to receive a letter from the Prime Minister of Japan and a silver sake cup. Yasu recently turned 100 years young and was delighted to receive a visit from the Consul General of Japan who presented these precious gifts to her. Happy 100th birthday Yasu! #ManlyHillside #agedcare #eldercare #majormilestones #OurPeopleAreLoved

20.01.2022 Our local Fire and Rescue presented our residents with amazing handmade gift bags, beanies and bed socks to keep them warm during winter. Bob was eager to explore the fire truck and even made it into uniform. Say hello to our new firie! #CarseldineGreens #agedcare #eldercare #community #OurPeopleAreLoved

15.01.2022 As we explored the interests and passions of our newest residents Neil and Daniela, it was determined that our knitting group was the perfect fit for them. Neil and Daniela are thoroughly enjoying being a part of a strong and productive group and are looking forward to working with Bankstown Hospital to auction off their creations in the near future. #BankstownTerrace #agedcare #eldercare #pursuingpassions #OurPeopleAreLoved

15.01.2022 With a gold coin raffle and plenty of baked goods nearby, we hosted Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea in support of Cancer Council and raised $700. Our residents and team were happy to be a part of such a meaningful cause, particularly those who have been personally affected by cancer. Well done Wallarah Point! #WallarahPoint #agedcare #eldercare #biggestmorningtea #OurPeopleAreLoved

We are committed to continually improving the way we care for residents and families from different cultural backgrounds, and the way we provide cultural support for our team. 12.01.2022 What is palliative care? It’s more than you think. Forming friendships underpinned by mutual respect and genuine connection is an important part of life in our Care Communities. Norma and Allison’s story shows how true friendship provided sparkle and comfort through Norma’s final stages of life. https://www.opalhealthcare.com.au/news/friends-for-life #NorahHead #agedcare #eldercare #palliativecare #OurPeopleAreLoved

10.01.2022 Our first residents at Wallarah Point, Rose and Helen, have been instrumental in welcoming each and every single new resident who moves into our care community. They make introductions to the rest of our community and spend time making sure each new resident feels welcome and comfortable. Helen says this is our community and we need to look after each other, we are happy living here, it feels like we are in a resort on a holiday and there’s nothing more wonderful than being on a holiday every day. #WallarahPoint #agedcare #eldercare #carecommunity #OurPeopleAreLoved

01.01.2022 To share the joy and bring a smile to everyone's faces, our residents and their Meaningful Mates have been working together sending gorgeous greeting cards to our residents' loved ones. #BossleyParkside #agedcare #eldercare #stayingconnected #OurPeopleAreLoved
