23.01.2022 Every year our care community remembers residents who have passed away in the last year with a memorial Christmas tree. We hold an afternoon to reminisce and reflect on friends, and sometimes family, who have lived at Warrandyte Gardens. A small dove with a notation about the special person is placed on our tree. This year we had six families join us via Zoom as well as Meaningful Mates, team members and residents all sharing stories about our residents who have passed. #WarrandyteGardens #agedcare #eldercare #gonebutneverforgotten #OurPeopleAreLoved
22.01.2022 It is a Japanese tradition for a centenarian to receive a letter from the Prime Minister of Japan and a silver sake cup. Yasu recently turned 100 years young and was delighted to receive a visit from the Consul General of Japan who presented these precious gifts to her. They make introductions to the rest of our community and spend time making sure each new resident feels welcome and comfortable.
