Not only is this store McDonald's 1000th store it is also their flagship sustainable store. Some Fun-Facts include; - 973kg of recycled plastic was used to make PlayPlace equipment... - The PlayPlace flooring is made up of at least 50% recycled rubber from old car tyres - Almost every waste item from this restaurant is recycled or fed to compost - The live green wall contains living plants increasing biodiversity, providing insulation and cleaning to the air on-site - Expelled hot air from our air conditioning is used to heat all hot water - The wheel stops in our car parks are made from recycled cups and plastics - 68 solar panels on the roof power a portion of this restaurant with the remaining power coming from 100% renewable energy It's been a race against time and adversity during 2020 but the team have absolutely delivered.
