25.01.2022 Some lovely photos of the Braddon Bounty garden both beautiful and productive.

24.01.2022 One for the calendar. Hopefully when we can go out and about again

23.01.2022 When the fog lifts.... how about taking a tour of Lanyon Homestead followed by a wander around the historic gardens? Tours run daily from Wednesday to Sunday, at 10am, 11.30am, 1pm and 2.30pm. Bookings are recommended to help everyone remain COVID-safe. There is also a cafe on site open from 10 until 4pm.

22.01.2022 Still plenty of tickets left! The roses are in full blooms and look amazing.

21.01.2022 Explore Canberra and surrounds: Fetherston Gardens - Heysen Street, Weston This is a public garden you are free to visit any time. The 3.5 hectare site incorporates a variety of styles including eucalypt woodlands, the arboretum, the conifer grove, the pond, the native garden and the secret garden. The diverse gardens are linked by good paths. Comfortable seating, gazebos and shelters are located at various points. There are also areas suitable for picnics. 20.01.2022 Rosy Bower - Open 7 and 8 November 10:00 am - 4:00 pm Tickets available through Eventbrite. https://opengardenscanberra.org.au/event/rosy-bower/ This average suburban sized garden features a welcoming front lawn with large trees, which merges into a freestyle cottage style garden featuring well established rambling and climbing roses, set among shrubs and a range of mature trees. The intimate and sheltered back garden contains a range of cottage garden shrubs set amidst large shrubs and trees, merging into neighbourhood trees. Surprisingly for a shady garden, a home has been found for productive fruit trees and shrubs. Members of Open Gardens Canberra should use the link in the email you received to reserve tickets to this event. Visitors can book on Eventbrite.

16.01.2022 Dear garden lovers! We have been working hard during the past few months to put together a spectacular spring program. Of course, at the moment we are still uncertain about what the future holds. We hope that by the time the first garden is due to open (around mid October) that we will be able to accommodate garden visitors subject to the restrictions in place at the time. We have also agreed to extend existing paid memberships to compensate for the cancellation of the 2020 autumn program. Further details on both topics will be provided once we have a little more clarity on what lies ahead. In the meantime, stay safe and take the time to appreciate some of Canberra’s lovely public green spaces.

06.01.2022 Some photos from Diana’s garden in Red Hill. The scent in this garden was amazing. If you were lucky enough to book a ticket, it’s well worth a visit. Unfortunately we have had to limit numbers due to Covid restrictions.
