23.01.2022 The Open Gardens Committee and our 2020 Garden Owners have unfortunately made the decision to postpone our event. Given the current circumstances in Victoria and the unpredictable future of Covid-19 we unanimously agreed the risk was not worth taking. So instead we are planning on an Autumn Open Gardens Festival on Sunday 7th March 2021. This date will once again be tentative and we will reassess closer to the time.... In the meantime we plan to continue to provide you updates on how Friends of Gargarro and Gargarro Green Thumbs Nursery are progressing. There is also a plan that if we are unable to have you come and enjoy our gardens then we can hopefully bring our gardens to you virtually via this Page. Watch this space!
05.01.2022 Welcome to our new Facebook page! The Open Gardens Festival is an annual event that is held in and around the rural Victorian town of Girgarre. From humble beginnings of one local opening her garden to the public, the event has grown and now involves multiple and diverse gardens, artists, musicians and a beautiful high tea held at Bonshaw Estate. ... Throughout the years the focus and purpose has not changed; all proceeds raised go towards our town's Community Car and the growth of Gargarro Botanical Gardens.
