22.01.2022 ANDREA FRANCOLINI HAS CREATED A FEW PEICES FOR OPEN HAVENS FUNDRAISING EVENT TOMORROW EVENING & WE COULDNT BE MORE GRATEFUL Read Below a Little about the Award Winning Photographer Andrea Francolini is an international award-winning photographer, and has called Australia home for over two decades. Originally hailing from Milan, more than 20 years spent behind the lens have honed his unique ability to capture the very essence of his subjects.... Best-known for his high-velocity sailing and sporting imagery, travel has also been a lifelong passion, leading Francolini to culturally-rich destinations like Africa, Pakistan, India, Japan and the Philippines where he studied the people and their culture, capturing both the beauty and the harshness of life in these fascinating countries. Why Open Haven ? My friend Hellen told me about this charity and that there was a fund raising dinner coming soon. So I offered her a print or two from my archive if it would help raise funds at the auction. Having a charity myself I know that every dollar counts. So surely some prints would help. The more we spoke and the more ideas started coming out. So we decided to recreate certain situations to help the general public get an understanding of what it may feel like to be obliged to flee from your home. I am humbled that the ideas I put out were welcomed and one was accepted. 04.01.2022 Looking forward to having KIM SKUBRIS Emcee the fundraising event this Friday the 4th June Incredible Bio Below Chatting and listening have always come naturally to Kim Skubris as her earliest school report cards show. More than once she found herself in trouble for talking in class!... But Kim is grateful to a wonderful English teacher who recognised from an early stage she was destined to be a journalist. Kim pursued a career as a News broadcast journalist, and recently clocked up more than 30 years experience with the Seven Network in Australia and affiliate stations overseas. As a network correspondent she’s reported on some of the country’s biggest stories, including from Bali with Schapelle Corby, in war zones and natural disasters. For more than 20 years she has also been an emcee, facilitator, and keynote speaker. Kim now works as a freelance reporter while running her own communications consulting business and is passionate about helping people become powerful communicators through message mastery, storytelling, video, and dynamic public speaking. The mother of two boys lives in Brisbane and has been honoured with appointments as an Ambassador for The Daniel Morcombe Foundation and as a National Ambassador for Act For Kids.
