16.01.2022 VALE | Opera Queensland is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of baritone Guy Booth. From 2003 Guy appeared in more than 20 productions with Opera Queensland including Doctor in Macbeth, Gaoler in Tosca, Happy in The Girl of the Golden West, Second Armed Man in The Magic Flute, Peter Dawson in Waltzing Our Matilda, Herald in Otello, and Schaunard and Marcello in La bohème. Guy was also a member of our Young and Developing Artist Program from 2008 to 2010. Guy’s solo conce...rt repertoire with the company included appearances with Cheryl Barker and the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in Sunset Opera, Music Beneath the Stars, Opera in the Park and A Night at the Opera. Guy also performed Schaunard in La bohème for the State Opera of South Australia and toured Australia, Germany and Switzerland with Co-Opera's production of The Magic Flute.
