24.01.2022 Last Friday we celebrated the achievements of the Peer Group Mentors who completed their Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation in 2020. This certification is a stepping stone into job opportunities and further accredited training for the young people in the future. We would like to thank all of the sponsors and supporters for assisting the PGMs and the programs across the year - SA Power Networks Lendlease Mary Mattie Foundation Scouts Australia and James & Diana Ramsay Foundation.

22.01.2022 READ NOW: "Students embrace life-altering journey" by Border Watch Mount Gambier shares the experience of the group of young ladies who attended exercise with us at Yankaninna Station. To be able to have walked 10km a day with 20kgs of my back is something I am really proud of and it has been so rewarding.

21.01.2022 And now for some great news! Last Friday Operation Flinders held its Annual General Meeting in a new and unique location - the Foundation warehouse! We were joined by Peer Group Mentor Holly who shared her story and what she had achieved in the last few years. It was also an opportunity for Rob Stobbe, Chair to award service certificates - recognizing 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years with the Foundation.

16.01.2022 Thank you to our supporters in Mt Barker for presenting the Foundation with a donation of $15,000. Conquer the Summit is a fantastic event held annually where proceeds go towards the Foundation to ensure we can continue working with young people. We highly recommend you take part in the event next year! Thank you to Mt Barker Rotary and Mt Barker Lions Club for their ongoing support.



14.01.2022 Over the weekend some of our Peer Group Mentors enjoyed a few days at Blanchtown, taking part in the Paddle SA ‘Paddle Challenge’. Thank you to our brilliant volunteers who gave up their time to teach and mentor our young people. The Peer Group Mentor Program is proudly supported by SA Power Networks

13.01.2022 Operation Flinders Epic Impact Bike Challenge is back in 2021! Over 5 days, cycle from Adelaide to Yankaninna Station, the home of the Operation Flinders Exercises. This event is a key fundraiser for the Foundation but also provides a fantastic opportunity for the keen cyclist to enjoy some of SA's stunning scenery! Registration is open NOW! 13.01.2022 Last week Team Leader and staff member Leigh travelled to Ceduna to visit his team. It was well worth the trip to see them receive their certificates of completion. Wel done to all!

08.01.2022 The Katherine team from the Northern Territory recently completed the program with some great outcomes for the participants. Many thanks to Santos for your support in funding this team and providing this unique opportunity for the young people. A big thanks also to our volunteers for providing the extra logistical support for the team. Well done to all involved!

06.01.2022 We recently celebrated the achievements of the students from Marryatville High School on Exercise 3. A great supporter of Operation Flinders is the Premier the Hon. Steven Marshall MP who is always keen to attend the presentations. Thank you also to the City of Norwood Payneham St. Peters for hosting the event. Well done guys!

02.01.2022 Yesterday 11 Peer Group Mentors took the opportunity given by Adelaide Convention Centre to participate in an exclusive behind the scenes session. A huge thank you to the Adelaide Convention Centre for this amazing opportunity that was loved by all. Between the opportunities in a Barista Course and this exclusive behind the scenes experience, our PGMs will have even more amazing options and pathways to take.
