14.01.2022 This Friday 6-8pm IamOphelia opens at Kings Artist-Run. It’s really exciting to share my first major work since finishing my degree as I truly begin my practice. This journey has been a rewarding one, and the work that exists is one of performance and risiduel, as I traverse the transient experience of gender, ritual and cosmic communion. I was overjoyed to be able to invite Jake Adam Treacy to curate and collaborate with me on IamOphelia. Jakes knowledge and poetics on quee...r ecologies have layered a simple idea, into a fluid and deeply visceral vision of our work together. I am really proud of what we have created, and though I will never see the final creation with my own eyes and ears, it is with great pleasure that I can help put something out into the world that means so much to us and I hope it can touch others experiences of the world. So please take a moment when you can in the next three weeks to visit Kings and share a sacred communion with Jake and I. IamOphelia runs from 30.8 till 21.9 See more

'IamOphelia' is a collaborative exhibition between Jake Treacy and Walter Bakowski (Ophelia) exploring queer ecologies, literature and Nature through video, poetic reworkings of Shakespear's Hamlet and an olfactory installation.
