23.01.2022 We're trying to roll out as many podcasts as we can at the moment as we speak to people from all over the world about the effects of Covid-19. For this podcast we stayed in the NT and spoke with a local in Darwin, one of Leon's partners at Ward Keller about Family Law and the implications for people currently going through divorce or dealing with child custody matters at this time. Tessa Czislowski is a Partner at Ward Keller and a Family Law practitioner. As the Covid 19 tig...htens its grip on our lives, one area that is under tremendous stress, are families caught up in relationship breakdowns. It’s hard enough dealing with this in normal times, but how do people deal with family issues during a global crisis? There are lots of questions and Tessa does a brilliant job answering these. Anyone who is separated or divorced will find the information here very helpful. 22.01.2022 Darren Lynch is an owner of Wharf One restaurant in Darwin. When the Australian Government announced on 23 March 2020 that all restaurant were to close their doors to dine in patrons, Darren had to stand down 70% of his staff. In typical Territory fashion he and his partner, Pina, put their thinking caps on and came up with an idea - Bella Pasta! ... Wharf One restaurant is now cranking out up to 200kg of pasta each day for local food sellers. This is especially helpful when the supermarkets are struggling to keep up with demand. It’s an inspirational story for all of us trying to work through these challenging times. 22.01.2022 With our newsfeeds taken up by virus talk seemingly every minute of every day at the moment, we felt it only necessary to add to the chatter!! Thankfully, Darwin and the NT only have 1 known infected person at present but this could quickly change if vigilance is not our number 1 priority. We took the podcast offshore (digitally anyway) and tracked down ex-Territorian Peter Colman, who now resides in London, to discuss the state of play in Europe and to talk about how things ...are unfolding in other parts of the world at present. In this bonus episode, Peter shares his story and talks about how the virus is affecting their daily life and the lives of people in Europe. 21.01.2022 Google My Business (GMB) listing hijackings are increasing. Spammers are attacking businesses by accessing the claim this business link in the Google Local Knowledge Panel. An email is then sent to the business by GMB notifying them of a request to access the listing.... In many cases business owners are clicking this request link without thinking and then......their listing is under someone else's control. If you haven't already.......CLAIM YOUR LISTING If optimised correctly it's the best lead gen tool you'll have in your business, the best part is it's........FREE #oppidanusdigitalmarketing #localmarketing #localseotips #darwinnt

18.01.2022 With all that's going on in the world we're loving talking to friends and contacts overseas. Bill Savarino is a former chair of Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW) and lawyer based in Washington D.C. Being close to the epicentre of this unfolding crisis in New York, Bill talks about life in the US right now and how the country to dealing with Covid-19. 17.01.2022 Back to back podcasts this week in order to try and get our heads around the current crisis affecting our day to day to life. The world has been turned upside down. Our economy and our lifestyle is unrecognisable from what it was even a week ago. Yet we are told there’s more to come.... With all the directions and advice issued by governments, Leon and Peter thought it would be worthwhile speaking with a medical doctor about the virus. Originally from Perth, Dr Keith Ananda spent a year at the then Northern Territory University in 1991, before heading back to Perth to do medicine. He’s been a general practitioner for over 10 years. In this short episode, we get Dr Ananda to give us the lay of the land and an insight into what’s happening in Perth. https://anchor.fm//54--Dr--Keith-Ananda---Covid-19---Comme #northernterritory #darwin #wardkeller #territorystory #podcast #covid19 #stayathome #coronavirus #perth #doctor #generalpractitioner #viruscorona

15.01.2022 SSL certificates....... There's a variety of reasons why you need an SSL certificate for your website. Not least of which that Google is flagging more and more sites as being Not Secure if they don't have an SSL, which will quickly scare off potential customers if and when they see a Not Secure message on your site (see example below). The other major reason why you need an SSL certificate on your site is the fact that it causes websites without one to rank lower in search re...sults. If you don't have an SSL on your website amd you'd like help to get one get in touch and I'll show you how. #digitalmarketer #digitalmarketingagency #socialmediaagency #videomarketingagency # #marketing #digitalmarketing #socialmediamarketing

15.01.2022 Born in Adelaide, Rose travelled the world and was basking in the sun in a town between Portugal and Spain in 2013, when she got a call from Malaysia Airlines to head up their Darwin operations. Not sure at first, she was eventually persuaded. Six months into the job, disaster struck with the disappearance of MH370. Then four months later, MH17 was shot down over Ukraine. Rose talks about how she managed these crises in Darwin, her move to Virgin Australia and the untapped op...portunities for aviation and tourism in the Top End. https://anchor.fm//50--Rose-Felice---Malaysia-Airlines-eb5 #territorystorypodcast #territorystory #northernterritory #boundlesspossible #darwin #business #aviation #tourism #mh370 #mh17 #malaysiaairlines #virginaustralia

14.01.2022 While all of our podcasts are interesting, this podcast was particularly interesting for us as we got to speak with a Chinese national who is not based in Wuhan but who has very much been affected by all that is going on related to Covid-19. Ron Xu, lawyer from Sphere-Logic in Xiamen, China, and member of Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), makes his debut on the Territory Story podcast. If you’re interested in how cultural differences play out in an international crisis, you...’ll find this conversation fascinating. 12.01.2022 While we're starting to understand the medical implications of this Covid-19 virus that is wreaking havoc presently, the economic implications are starting to impact people more. We thought it only appropriate to speak with someone who could help us understand what this all means on an economic level. Dr Vemuri is a doctor of economics. He has lectured at Charles Darwin University since it was known as the University College of the Northern Territory back in 1988. Dr Vemuri d...id his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Australia, his Masters in Mumbai, India and PhD in Birmingham, UK. With the rule book as far as economics thrown out the window as the current pandemic tears through the world, we turned to Dr Vemuri to ask what will a post pandemic world look like? 08.01.2022 According to statcounter.com Google searches make up 94.37% of the online searches done in Australia. If you've done searches on other search engines you'll know that their search result accuracy is limited at best. So, when Google announced last week that they may pull out of Australia that's a big thing for anyone who relies on online search results or PPC results in their business.... Here's a great article from Search Engine Journal discussing whether Australia will have to live without Google or not.
