Heidi is working from Dubai (6 hours behind) and will work in to the night to get new file request links to you all for Friday (Australian time), once the ban ha...s been lifted by Dropbox. Please keep your fingers crossed that they prioritise this and THANK YOU for all of your understanding......we apologise from the bottom of our hearts that this has happened - it really wasn't within our control at all. ;(

WOW - what a year it has been so far.....congratulations to you ALL for showing the flexibility, resilience and creativity required to make it through the BIG changes to education (and beyond) we're all living through. ... The BIG and EXCITING news from us here at Opti-MINDS HQ is that we are GOING AHEAD in 2020 - but, with some changes.....see details below: *********************************************************************** * BY JUNE 24: REGISTER YOUR SCHOOL ONLINE: https://opti-minds.com/optichallenge-p/login * JULY 13: CHALLENGES AVAILABLE online for registered schools! * JULY 22: TEAM NOMINATIONS CLOSE * AUGUST 23, 29 OR 30 INDIVIDUAL REGIONAL EVENTS WILL BE HELD AS NORMAL IF POSSIBLE. (UNLIKELY) OR (MOST LIKELY, INDIVIDUAL REGIONAL EVENTS WILL BE JUDGED AT REGIONAL VENUES *********************************************************************** 2020 NOMINATED TEAMS - REMOTE PRESENTATION PROCESS TEAMS: (proposed process subject to change.) Download Challenges from your school page using your username and password. Select Challenge and NOMINATE TEAM as usual on school page Develop your Challenge solution over 6 weeks collaborating as usual at school *or via email and Video Conferencing. Film your final presentation according to specifications TO BE PROVIDED TO ALL REGISTERED SCHOOLS SHORTLY. *********************************************************************** *Suggestions for creating video presentation IF TEAM MEMBERS PARTICIPATING IN ISOLATION: Discuss Challenge & possible solutions by collaborating via video conferencing (on a platform of choice etc.) Create a scene list for presentation and identify which team members feature in which scenes. Record all the scenes individually (remotely) using smartphone or webcam. Email all individual scenes to team’s designated video editor. Paste / edit the scenes together to create their entire dramatic performance video - using any program of choice Many FREE downloads available. OR if possible to be together physically video complete performance. *********************************************************************** NB: Please rest assured that we are monitoring Queensland Health's Public Health advice and policy on gatherings and will keep you all informed as to how the Opti-MINDS Events will happen in 2020 - be it by videos submitted by your team, OR, as normal at regional venues across Queensland (which is unlikely).
